Joey Styles knows the Blu-Ray PPV's aren't being offered anymore except for the big 4. He just wanted people to click on his Amazon affiliate link so he gets a cut of whatever people spend on Amazon after clicking that link.

He does that crap all the time. Even did it when Savage passed away.
So you're telling me I can buy Over the Limit 2011 on Blu-Ray, but Money in the Bank is only available as a Full Screen DVD?

Fucking perfect.

Johnny Swinger might be crazy

Concerning a character Parisi created for the WWE that he never got to use:

"I sidestepped creative and went straight to Vince. I asked for just a moment of his time and I laid out this character where I was a hermaphrodite and I would wrestle in both the male and female division. I would do a program with Trish Stratus and win the the Women's title then go against Cena. I had angles written to go against Trish, Kane and Cena. I wanted to go to the top. I wasn't going to pitch an idea to wrestle the first match of the night. I wanted to make money and be in the main event. I own the character...I have a patent for it so if it used on TV, I'll get paid either way."

Looks that way. I finally started buying the PPV's this year because they were available on Blu-Ray and got all the way up to Extreme Rules 2011 when I saw the story that they were going to stop releasing the smaller PPV's on Blu-Ray due to poor sales.

Amazon later confirmed that story when they cancelled my pre-order for the MITB Blu-Ray.:(

Holy shit at those JCW show pictures.

Ken Patera is fucking fat as hell now. Also, I was wondering when Ricky Morton's hair would finally fall apart. I was impressed that it stayed together like it did for so long.

I bet they were pissed the fuck off to be delayed until 1am. :lol

Bootaaay I know you watch SHIMMER and joshi and shit. Do me a favor and watch the Bellas work sometime and tell me if I'm nuts for thinking they are a fantastic female tag team.

Bearing in mind I usually go for a piss break during WWE womens matches, they aren't entirely horrible from what I've seen, and I really liked the twin gimmick stuff they did for singles matches. They've certainly got more character than most of the women's division. I'd personally prefer to see Beth & Natalya feuding against the Bellas than screaming Kelly and...whatshername. Eve?

I was bitching about wrasslin' last night on Twitter and ROH followed me. I was about to block them and send them a message about how I enjoy me the occasional ROH but it's annoying when asshole companies randomly follow you to hock their shit, but then I clicked over to their feed and the top entry was about a show they're gonna put on in my city. Then I started thinking "Maybe I should go to that. Wait a minute...fuck they got me."

Well played, ROH. Well played.

Thank you for validating my love of the Bella Twins, Bootaaay.

Considering the "talent" assembled for the show, I'm sure there were ample amounts of crack and meth floating around to keep them awake.

I'd love to give Chikara a try because it seems to have a lot of emphasis on their matches and they look like they have a lot of fun with it and don't take themselves too seriously.

Don't get me wrong I love a good wrestling match. I love Benoit, Angle, Jericho, Hart, etc. The guys that can put on a good technically sound match, and I love the odd spot fest (TLC matches). But at the same time, there needs to be a reason for me to care about the match. While it's nice to see that Bourne/Kofi teamed up and beat the Nexus Refugees last night - but why should I care about them? Why did they even team up in the first place?

The WWE needs to go back and re-work the storylines for the non-midcarders. I mean Summerslam only had 5 matches because there were no other real storylines going on - did they finally realize that?

I mean, back in the day on nearly every PPV before each match there was a 2-3 minute intro package showing why we were about to see this match.

Everything you said you want from a promotion is what CHIKARA is all about, there is a reason I say multiple times a week that they are the best thing going in pro wrestling today. Everyone on the roster has a backstory and some storylines have been playing out for years. You also get every type of wrestling style known to man (except hardcore) Seriously give it a chance. I was hooked after one show.

Summary of the newest PWI Elite audio

-UFC going to FOX networks: TNA is safe unless Spike goes into full rebrand move

-Rey Mysterio health update: He's gonna have the knee surgery he's needed since 07. He's been told multiple times by management that he needs the surgery but he's put it off by rehabbing and resting.

-Scratched Summerfest plans: Miz vs Mysterio was planned for SS, but they felt that the Del Rio match was more important the following night so they didnt want to risk anything.

I demand a transcript when you're done as you sail out your company in a blaze of glory, don't worry if you do well you'll be back in a few weeks with a raise to boot.

Fox is a much, better fit for UFC.

Can we send some of those shirts to Washington...

SEND ONE TO OBAMA! No more talking points, time to shoot at the American people!

TNA better watch out. I smell blood in the water. Spike may have been a good grab for the UFC however TNA isnt the brand i want to hang my hat on. They may want to hang on to the knockouts as long as they can...

Unless they are going to rebrand the network into something that wrestling wouldn't fit into, TNA is one of their highest rated shows so it won't be Spike that kills it.

If the shitty, incomprehensible booking can't do it, maybe it will live forever.

dude..I was traumatized as a kid watching that!
I remember the white contact lense. After this, Earthquake squashed Damian and a few months later Jake went into full heel mode with Warrior, Savage and Liz. Awesome promos.

Speaking of Punk shirts, anyone know where else to get the Punk Uprising (Yellow and Black) Nexus shirt?

I think that WWE Shop has discontinued it now that the Nexus is disbanded.

Spike is most likely going to position Bellator as their flagship sports entertainment vehicle.
Brah if you missed Degrassi last night there was a great exchange about MMA.
Drew "Your into mma?
Mo "yeah. Tito Ortiz is the best man."
Drew. "Gsp is where it's at"
Mo "George St. Pierre? He's over rated"

Good. Mysterio has been putting on some great matches this year in spite of his injury, so he certainly deserves the long vacation.

Yeah, he needed the surgery because during the commercial break of the match his knee was so bad they had to almost stop the match. Then they carried him off when it was over. Love him or hate him he has guts to do the match.

He will be back for wrestlemania.

-- Kenneth writes: "I just saw this story on my local news and I thought I should share it. A family in central Illinois was having a birthday party for their 8 year old son that included him and all his friends watching Summerslam. They ordered the ppv days in advance, but when all the kids were there and they turned on the TV, there was a porno movie on instead. Their cable company, Comcast, responded by saying that it was a "signal mix up" and that only a few homes were affected.." Definitely not PG.

-- From Matt Hardy: "I'm ready.. It's time for me to get back in the ring. I'm gonna train my ass off & get ready for the day-wherever it may be. Preach."

-- From Rikishi: "OK ALL DIVAS WHO DOES THE STINKFACE MOVE WHERES MY CHECK?"

-- Resistence Pro Wrestling, which is the new group that Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins is working as creative consultant of (Gabriel Baron and Jacques Baron, two brothers, are the co-owners) runs their first show, Black Friday, on November 25th (a Friday, thank goodness, so this isn't TNA) at the Excalibur in downtown Chicago. They've already confirmed Jay Bradley, Teddy Hart and Harry Smith for the show, and Raven is working as an agent.

lol vacation...he takes an entire month off every year to take his family to Hawaii. They delayed it last year by giving him the whc. After he dropped it, he vanished.

First match signed for ROH's Death Before Dishonor IX iPPV; Eddie Edwards vs Roderick Strong in a 'Ringmasters Challenge', which seems to be a 2/3 falls match where the first fall is decided by pinfall, the second by submission and the third, if necessary, decided via a 15 minute Iron Man match. Dumb name, but should be a good match.

How do you keep up with all this?

My Fave five atm:

CM Punk (I'm alert everytime he's on the mic.)
R-Truth (I'm entertained everytime he's on the mic)
Alberto Del Rio (wink.gif)
Sheamus (Boot up his arse and is a hell of a worker)
The Miz (Needs to mock more celebrities and change up his I'm the Miz and I'm awesome too whatever he's talking about atm, example: the subway bit should've been "I'm the Miz and I'mmmm hungry" *nom, nom, nom*

Honorable Mentions:

Randy Orton (Yeah he's not bad in spite of shitty finishes/RKO+top rope shenanigans and can sell incredibly when needed)

Cena (has done great with promos lately barring his last one, still don't like how he's always the title chaser/defender)

The Flying Wallinda, Sin Cara: Needs to return to Misticara for full mark mode.

My Fave Five Diva's:

Kaitlyn (Still green)
AJ Lee (Has been improving)
Eve Torres (Solid worker and proved it last PPV)
Natalya (Needs work on her mic skills)
Beth Phoenix (I CAN'T CONTROL IT!)

Honorable Mention:

The Bellas: They can become solid heels if booked correctly, mocking another woman's weight is not correctly.

Why ADR, Plywood? Same promo every time. It was old by the end of his first month. Good submission move, though.
I'll admit he needs to start saying new things but I enjoy is in ring work but I think he can be a solid troll heel if he starts spouting some new lines, he has the perfect set up with his arrogant aristocrat character, Ricardo only solidifies that. I do hope that he improves with his upcoming Cena feud.

I also thought about Ziggler and Kofi, but Kofi is stuck just being booked for random matches and Ziggler isn't really going anywhere or being elevated with anyone.

The character is definitely good. First time I saw him I couldn't help but think it was excellent. Last time a character came out with their Mexican heritage as the main part in their gimmick, they came out riding a lawnmower. This guy is the complete opposite of what many people perceive mexicans to be.

Sheamus is great and I hope Miz gets to do more than just hold up a sammich.
