Ok guys new week, new thread lets do this as always we'll begin with the RAW recap:

The Game goes for the gold
May 15, 2006

In a statement released from Mr. McMahon's office Tuesday morning, it was announced that "Triple H will get his championship match next week on RAW."

WWE.com has learned that the Triple H vs. John Cena WWE Championship Match will kickoff RAW Monday night on USA. Be sure to be tuned in right at 9/8 CT so you don't miss a minute of the action. Can the King of Kings regain what he believes is his rightful place back on the throne? Or will John Cena once again turn The Game back, just as he did at WrestleMania?

Can Shawn Michaels get a measure of revenge on the Spirit Squad? HBK will face Kenny, and the rest of the Spirit Squad has been banned from ringside. However, Mr. McMahon has announced that he will be naming a special guest referee. Who will it be, and will they stack the deck against Michaels?

And what will Mick Foley have to say? Instead of brutalizing Edge in another vicious Hardcore Match last week, Foley seemingly joined forces with the Rated R Superstar. They ganged up on ECW’s Tommy Dreamer and left him a bloody mess. What was Foley thinking? Find out on RAW, as the Hardcore Legend will give an explanation for his actions.

Get the answers to all of these questions and more on RAW, this Monday night at 9/8 CT on the USA Network.

So what do we have to look foward to this week:

- More DX references bitches!!!!
- ...honestly thats about it, I usually can get a few point I'm interest in but I've got nothing.

Blah, anyway hopefully we got the gang all here; (bjork, DM, Guzim, Outcast, Bloodwake, Liu Kang, Eminem, Eneryloi, and everyone else) to make this week's RAW awesome, as we've learned what happened when we don't have live RAW commentary in here :p.

Alas it is a bit early to create the RAW thread, but hey I'm up so why not?

Oh, kicking off Raw you say? Not only will an assload of people not see it because 24 is on, but it's a lock that Cena will win!

Great strategy. If it was the main event, even I would have some small amount of optimism that Trips would win.

TRips wins only to have decision reversed.

Everyone is a winner.

They should have a crazy RAW where the title ends up changing hands three times on the same night or something.

I'm serious.

i'm interested to see the HBK/Kenny match... as well as see more of the edge/foley relationship building..

how do you do spoilers? I dont want to spoil a future big main event PPV match, but that seems very interesting..

TNA Sacrifice thoughts;

Not a bad show last night despite the technical difficulties. The Jarret/Steiner vs Sting/Joe really stole the show for me. Joe proved he can hang with the big boys in a major way. They also did a pretty good job of making STEINER look really good for once. Joe won with a MUSCLE BUSTER on Jarrett..which really impressed me.

Sonjay got hurt pretty badly during the X cup. He landed akwardly on his ankle...possibly broken. (At least it prevented him from getting his ass handed to him by Nash). Nash actuially looked in shape. Hopefully he's set in the fact of putting over the Xdivsion in this storyline.

Main event of Christian vs Abyss was solid. Nothing spectacular, but nothing great. Last month's was MUCH better. Not alot of ladder or table spots. Jamess Mtichell took a rock botoom onto a bed of tacks.

AMW vs AJ/Daniels was GREAT...... up to the stupid finsih. It's fine for AMW to be heels but to ruin a great match with a lame "cheat to win" spot gets really annoying... especially when the just did a spot like that wint the 3-D vs James Gang.

World X cup was a lot of fun to watch. seeing some of the talent from around the world is always nice. Minoru Tanaka owns me!

Overall worth the price for the Tag title and Sting/Joe match.

ut, I'll be back later tonight. hopefully Raw is good tonight. I recorded Smackdown on my DVR.. it took about 15 minutes to watch after forwarding through the BS.....

Raw does look like it could be pretty interesting. You have 2 major storylines to really kick off in D-X and ECW. So hopefuly we'll get some surprise appearances tonight.

As we all can guess, but I'll say it first ;)

Vince calls HHH in cuz he walked out last time, and the "creative team" decides to use all of spirit squad running in (it's gotta happen guys) to force HHH and HBk to team up, finding solace in each other's egos with their DX chops. OMGOMGOMG

Some Japanese federation did this and for a little while the champion was a ladder. Or so I was told. I wish I could have seen that, I would have cracked up, especially when the next champion pinned the ladder (and oh how awesome it would have been if they could have found a way to make the ladder tap out).

My guess is that a special guest ref of the Spirit Squad will be announced. HHH will decimate Cena, then the Spirit Squad will no-sell the pin--quick argument, the squad will beat down HHH, Cena will get the pin.

Corporate Chain Gang founded, DX founded, DX will align with ECW in the "McMahon is bullshit" way, and we'll go fro there.

Cena isn't going heel. Nice idea but nah.

That Vengeance poster is for reals? That would be good because:

#1: I prefer Edge over Triple H or Cena

#2: DX is back, fun for Triple H anyway

#3: I'm gonna be there, so it better be hot.

That Vengeance poster is about as real as that One Night Stand poster, which is to say totally not real at all. Although the DX reunion has all but been confirmed for Vengeance. DX vs. Spirit Squad, perhaps?

Care to explain why?
And don't use the BS excuse of "He sells merchandise!"
He'd sell just as much as a heel, maybe more.

if he's heel then he'll lose all that heat he's been getting from the crowd in his matches. It won't be any dueling chants, no reaction when he does a move, and he won't be playing up to the crowd and having the crowd reject him. You can't get that type of heat even if you wanted to these days...unless you're X Pac.

Give the crowd a reason to boo him, that's a benefit.
I understand you're a huge mark for him, but even you have to admit that keeping im face in spite of the split crowds isn't a good thing.

He's extremly stale... that's the problem. That's why he's getting jeered. Why not have him go on a tirade against the crowd? At the very least it would add a wrinkle to his character that's desprately needed right now.

He isn't going heel because VINCE doesn't think he can sell merch as a heel.

Of course, he would, because heel Cena was alright as a heel.

Think: Cena overcoming the odds as a HEEL. It would work so much better, but of course this will never happen, because this is WWE we are talking about.

I am excited about tonight's RAW. I think that the special guest referee in the HBK/Kenny match will be someone we aren't expecting, and I think that tonight there is possibly a large chance that the DX reformation will start. The fact that the poster (IT IS OFFICIAL, IT'S ON WWE.COM) was revealed supports that they will probably reform DX sooner then later. So, why not tonight?

I'm interested in what would happen if he turns heel. I bet the crowd will cheer and blow the roof off. All of this heat is like Brock/Rock @ Summerslam a few years back. If Cena learns how to play to the crowd like Rock did, it would be awesome.

You son of a bitch... I told you not to use that excuse. Lol.
So the short answer is that Vince has lost touch with what his talent is capable of? Ok, good enough for me.

With DX coming back (defacto faces) that leaves Edge...and well just Edge as your major heels. If you are going to make Cena heel, now is the time. ESPECIALLY if they are going to pair him with RVD at ECW: ONS2.

Heel Cena vs Face DX could lead to some MONEY promos. Tough Cena would have to carry that HBK guy through most of them.

Actually it's really sad now a days where wrestlers are given the title based on being hokey real life cartoon characters (cena) instead of actually trained wrestlers who are supurb in the ring. Shame when the IC title probably had the most credible holders within the last year than the world title as well.

Hogan days are gone, kids are gonna buy Cena products but overall the product is shit in the future from this.

Well there does seem to be a lack of true heels, with HHH playing the 'tweener' role the last few weeks. I still think, after the DX reunion HBK will turn. Lets not forget that Umaga(eww) is supposedly going to get a big push. Cena got over as a heel, so I don't see why Vince feels he wouldn't sell as a heel.

I would personally love to see RVD go heel--which I think is possible. Cocky, Whole Fuckin SHow, 4:20 RVD> Surfer Dude Air Head, lets point to myself every 2 seconds RVD.

You just want everyone to turn heel? I think HBK works better as a face, he's the only ace I can still get behind these days.

Isn't Umaga
supposed to be going to SmackDown! for his main event run?

HBK was amazing last year when he was a heel.

Wait, are you saying Hogan had the belt because he was trained and superb in the ring? :lol :lol

That is the rumor, but wouldn't they rather give the big heel push to Kennedy?

He actually WAS, believe it or not. Check out some of his japanese stuff for proof of that.

But, using Hogan as an example for today's audience's just won't work. it's a much different world as far as wrestling goes.

Because Kennedy is PROBABLY going to be shifted to the New ECW as the lead heel.

I just want some parity on how wrestlers are characterized, to keep things fresh. HHH for instance, is in line strong face run i think , as hes been pretty much strictly a heel over the past several years, save for when he first came back from his hamstring tear. In HBK and RVD's case its two fold: 1. Because of the aforementioned reason that it would give their characters some freshness. 2. In HBK's case especially I think he is best suited to play a heel. Don't get me wrong, HBK is one of the few who can play both sides pretty much equally but IMO his best work has been done as a heel over the years.

That's in Japan. In Mexico and ECW, Rey did luchadore shit, and at some point, Cena probably did more than the five moves of doom. WWF Hogan = WWE Cena, and it wasn't being technically sound that got the belt on either one.

I clearly said that these aren't Hogan times anymore, since then the belt has pretty much went to those who are actually really talented in the ring.

Um.

No? Sid, Diesel, Kane, Austin (please don't say WWF austin was big for ringwork), etc etc.

I'll give you Hart/HBK/Angle, but other than that? Come on.

Im for a Kennedy Push, but I think he needs to prove himself more in the ring--something he hasn't had a chance to do. The best champions are the wons who are both good in ring workers, and have strong mic skills and personalities. Kennedy has the latter for sure, if he can put it all together in the ring he'll be great. With that said if its a choice between Kennedy now or Umaga, no doubt I'll take Ken Kennedy..

Kennedy!
