Wrasslin' Thread 20XX |OT| New Age WrestleGAF

I don't really understand it, but to me almost all of AEWs matches look...slow. Like, slow motion. Sometimes out of sync. A lot of wrestling looks like that to me these days.
It is the women, AEW women are not smooth at all times in their transitions and set up. So they look stiff. The men are better and setting up and executing, but some of the lady seem extra cautious and set up every move.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
So I think its fine that he was kicked out, BUT...

You have to be prepared for this sorta thing. Can't waste your time being upset over this (meaning the wrestlers) .

Telling security to take the guy out was the better thing than to try and confront him yourself. I think the wrestlers and referee did the right thing.

In some other news, Adam Cole and Evil Uno were guests in the latest Giant Bomb voice-mail show, if anyone's interested:

Guys, I kind feel that AEW wrestlers have it on easy street. "Seems" like some people are always on vacation or simply don't want to wrestle? Not sure whats going on there.

Gotta love WWE. Only there would a dirt-mustached, mulleted shrimp be getting all those top-shelf women. I bet he loves coming to work every day lol.

They're running the Eddie / Chyna storyline but in reverse and I'm all for it if there's moments like Dom getting punched square in the fucking face (a very real looking stiff punch btw) from Becky.

Supposedly Becky Lynch hasn't resigned yet and her contract is up really quickly. Do we think she goes to AEW? Seems unlikely given that her husband works in the E.

I think Becky is going to AEW.

I don't think WWE wants to give her that Sasha Banks/Mercedes Moné money.

But if she does stay with WWE, then I think she's not going to return until next year.

I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like Sid, I still remember seeing that live(on tv).
Joe Theismann was pretty similar. That happened when I was a teen and since it was the NFL the regular news showed it a bit. (Enough so that Letterman made fun of it with the Joe Theismann pencil sharpener.)

Man, no one saw that coming. I'm happy to see Jordynne Grace in WWE.

With the reports coming out of WWE, it seems like we're going to see more cross-promotions going on in the future.

Just saw that. Maybe I'm the only one that thinks this but to be honest I think Ethan is the much better fit for the WWE than Josh Alexander.

Ethan is one of those guys I saw in AEW and always hoped somehow he'd end up in the WWE. He has the ability to talk, and he is a good enough wrestler that if they want to they really have a chance at another LA Knight level character with Page after he learns the ropes in NXT. Can't wait.

Brutal lol

I'll be listening later, lol. I like Jim. I don't agree with EVERYTHING, but there aren't too many people to listen to that tell details or know as much. I listen to Arn and JR sometimes but they are very tame and play it safe, plus they are mostly ads.

I do agree with him on the current state of wrestling, but I'm not big on AEW or WWE right now.

So I'm watching NXT today. Umm anybody want to tell the WWE that Jay Strongbow isn't a Native American? (He's actually Italian.)

Holy shit those slaps in the gif..
It's well worth checking out if you haven't seen it before. The second video in my post above is the match itself, it's just not properly displaying on here because it's age-restricted. 2005 Samoa Joe is up there as one of the best years a wrestler has ever had.
