RIP. Ted DiBiase was a brilliant heel and Virgil's story arc from bodyguard/manager to eventually beating him to take his $$belt$$ was some great stuff.

Also, what's up with that picture in the OP? Seems like a "see how nobody cares" thing but you made the thread abou his death so what gives?

After his runs in WWF and WCW Virgil became a bit of a meme for that picture. He then started appearing at random places trying to sell autographs and mechanise. Then his management, the same guys who managed the Iron Sheik, wanted him to play up to being a wacky character to get more attention, much like they had done with Iron Sheik.
