Zeb went out with a bang. MexAmerica was one of the dumber angles in recent memory. He and Alberto were just pissed for no real reason.

Nah, it's been known for months - he thinks they've been underutilising him (they have) and wanted out. They didn't cut him because they wanted to, they're just too incompetent to give him a decent push, and they stripped him of gimmicks that he had gotten over.
