My Amazon UK order has been changed from Tuesday to Wednesday. They did send me an email because my card payment had failed (I had an old card registered when I originally ordered it) and asked me to update it. Not sure if that was why.

I went to order one from Target last night and the site was acting weird. When I went to check out it told me that the item was now out of stock. The disappointment.

For UK guys Argos supposedly has them in stock for home delivery only and is claiming delivery for tomorrow (Monday), through the iOS app but just a generic November through the actual website, I got one ordered at Amazon for a cheaper price with a Tuesday delivery date so haven't actually tried checking out with Argos.

I went to Best Buy yesterday and I asked if they were going to have the controller for sale for walk-in customers and he said yes, they are getting them in on Tuesday.
Yeah, I was looking at Wal-Mart's site earlier and saw that it said "Preorder, ships 31 Dec."
I wonder if they just didn't update the release date, or if they did preorders for these and ran out of the first batch and didn't know when they'd get more.
Anyway, if I were jonesin' for one, I'd call my local Wal-Mart on release day and see if they have any in. Or maybe even call before release and see if they already have some, are getting some, or will have some in stores.

This seems pretty common.
An item shouldn't be in a "preparing to ship" phase for this long.
I've had the same issue with everything from bbuy, it still left on time to get to me though. It will probably leave monday and be overnighted.

There are questions as to whether stores will actually be receiving stock on Tuesday as the demands are so high. I will call around on Tuesday and hope that I get lucky.

Damn, mine still says "Arriving Tuesday, Not yet dispatched". When did you order? Mine was ordered 16th June.

Demand is "high" but not that high. Stock is just low. Local Gamestop has not additional controllers on hand and are only fulfilling preorders.. The pre-order total HOLD ON TO YOUR BUTTS is 2 heheh.
