I live in Canada, with exchange that makes it $182, with tax that makes it $206 CAN.

No controller is worth that cost, it is over half the cost of an XB1 and about the cost of a handheld.

Right, but SCUF are small scale, modified controllers. You can choose your exact options and whatever color you want.

These are Microsoft scale. There is definitely a nice profit margin having these priced at $150.

Pretty much. This is a premium product, it's not something to be picked up willy nilly without knowing why you are going to be using paddles (drop shotting/jump shotting ect ect).
