The price is a boner killer, but that is one mighty fancy lookin controller
who makes a living from playing xbox one ? a hundred persons ? two hundred ?
"competition" is a joke on consoles for most genres. Fighting games have sticks, racing sims have wheels.
his point is "you don't like it cause you can't afford it", just pointing out how stupid it is.
Either this site is full of children with no income, people living at the poverty line, or those who will never earn more than the minimum wage.
I wonder what else Elite branded products they have coming?

Seems like a new brand for premium products
Which is a total load of crap given that it doesn't cause a problem on any other platform."The most basic option is the ability to reassign controller buttons wherever a user desiresand because this change exists on the controller itself as opposed to within the console's settings, Microsoft engineers insist that this will reduce any lag issues caused by button reassignments."
At times like this, it really is a reflection of the Neogaf user base.

The amount of people crying over a $150 is eye opening.
Guess what? This isn't a requirement. It's apparently a premium product and somewhat of a premium price.
And if by some chance, a $150 is enough to make you question your life and how this purchase might put you out on the street, you're in the wrong hobby and this elite controller isn't for you.

Yet they did it during E3 and completely left off the price tag that would turn average consumers away. A few buzz words that plenty of gamers want to believe represents them and features they think they'll benefit from does not change the fact that it was debuted in front of the largest crowd possible of media that largely caters to a less competitive audience.

"hurp, if you can't afford it get a job and if you can why are you complaining durp"
Because the price is ridiculous?
Why should i care if this isn't a required peripheral?
I'm actually a fiend for controllers. I end up with 8-10 controllers by the end of a gen. I'll buy this eventually. Once I feel like dropping 2 1/2 new games worth of money on it.
So, $120+ your existing controller and/or buying a new one for $60.
Seriously, try and build a custom controller for under $100 with all the additional features this would offer.

It's not about bragging how much cash you have, it's about "bang for the buck". 150$ is way too much for a standard controller with optional plastic bits and pieces.
The price is ridiculous based on what? Do you know what the components cost? What R&D cost for this thing? Perhaps you could share those numbers with us? Or what kind of return Microsoft is expecting over the 1-5 years if this thing makes it that long.
It's ridiculous to you.
It isn't to me.

Please explain to me why this is worth $150.
This isn't a custom controller. It's a mass-produced controller.

This thread is so strange... If this was the first product to exist in this market maybe I would understand it.
This is like going to a thread about the 980 TI and having people saying "Who would spend 700 on a graphics card?"
Or a thread about the K95 and seeing people say "Who would spend 200 on a keyboard?"
The enthusiast market exists guys, sorry that some of you just finding that out now...
How much is the hololens going to be if this controller is $150?!
