I am Canadian, so I'm afraid that Australian prices would not be terribly applicable to me.
Basically, it doesnt matter how strong the U.S to AUS dollar is, we get ripped like no one else. You guys get off easily.

Lol no. Rechargeable AA's are a total pain in the ass. I tried using them for a while with my Wiimotes but ended up going back to alkalines after a year of constant headaches. If you want to know what real convenience feels like, try out a Wii U Pro Controller.
Exactly what it looks like as both those pages have now been taken down and it's £130 at Game who almost always charge RRP.

Amazon Canada has it up for 179, so about 6 dollars less than the direct exchange rate from USD.

150 buck controllers? Insane. Will not ever support such a scheme. I'm okay with 3rd parties making arcade sticks for this price, but 1st party gamepads at 150? Never.
Hope your joking about not being able to tighten the sticks. I can't see the video now. If you aren't I know someone who can do it for me so either way I'm in. Would like to spend less though if they would just have that feature.

I'm kicking myself for not ordering online earlier when amazon.ca put it out for $90, now it's $150. Fuck that. Not gonna buy this, waay to expensive.

150$ uh? Last time I was in this thread the thing was supposed to be 89 dollars but 150? That will translate to even more in Euros, the damn thing looks good but fuck it for that price.
As usual, typical MS. This and Gears remake price... Didn't they learn anything with their launch of Xbox One?

The Elite controller is not marketed or designed to replace the regular One controller. It is positioned feature-wise and price point to battle SCUF and other custom controller products.
-It is cheaper than those products
-It has more features than those products.
-It is compatible with ALL X1 games.
-It is not necessary to play certain games. The Elite will not transform you into a MLG pro
-It probably is better constructed than those products.
Knowing all of this, I am still scratching my head why posters are coming in here and saying:
-It is too expensive..... (It is cheaper than a SCUF by $50 conservative estimate)
I refuse to believe that we are that clueless. Better people than me can refer to the price of a A-10 Warthog HOTOS for sims, Thrustmaster Steering Wheels, Hori Arcade Stick Pros for fighters or shumps.....
Enough of this $150 is too much nonsense. If it is too much for you, then I respect that. But this product is targeting a market that is willingly paying $200+ for controllers.

Honestly, the controller is really amazing and all that but my major concern is the fact that it's not gonna be a standard + the high price will make it a niche controller for the hardcore.
Personally, i like being on the same page as others when i play games competitively.

You meant half? so if it cost almost half of the console, what is the problem? people expent around a thousand dollars on a TV, hundreds on a surround system, 300 dollars on Headset, 200 dollars on gaming chairs, but 150 dollars for a Premium made controller is too much and the correct pricing should be 80 Dollars??????? basically the most important accessory in a console video gaming?
You are a smart individual, it's so obvious yet people here don't understand that this is not the new standard controller, this is an upgrade catered to the hardcore, the elite if you will, it's in the damn name. It's good to have options, why people are getting upset about this is beyond me.
