Just saw an ad for Madden 08 with lots of people playing the game while holding Xbox 360 controllers. I think thats not fair to Nintendo... when they had Gamecube branded ads from EA sports games back in 2004, all Nintendo got was a fucking GCN logo at the end of the ad... no one was holding purple controllers. Why the preferential treatment?

I hope for EA's sake that they charged extra to get the 360 controllers.

Yea, I saw the ad last week and noticed all the 360 controllers. EA is a business, first. How many copies of Wii Madden do you see selling compared to the 360? For all intents and purposes they are promoting the one that ultimately is going to make them the most, cash, cash, money. It's more than fair.

I caught the end of a session about the launch of this game in Manhattan. X360 this, X360 that, and this was from a very neutral sports channel I believe.

I'm not talking about Wii, but GameCube circa 2004. Nintendo had this same marketing arrangement, but all it was was the GCN logo quickly at the end of the ads. Here we have EA specifically creating the commercials with 360 in mind.
