Xbox 360 full game downloads...

Why do people fear evolution?

Frankly, as long as they offer both, I don't mind one bit.

I still play my games that I bought years (10+) ago regularly. I love to be able to pick up and play my Saturn.

This is my only problem with DD services. What happens when I want to play a game that I purchased years ago but it's no longer available on their server and it has since been removed from my console by either age or deletion?

I don't think it's "paranoia" to fear that you won't actually own the games you bought on DD years down the line.

I mean it's infeasible (for many reasons) to actually expect companies to maintain databases of information years down the line so someone who purchased a game years ago can re-download it.

Physical copies just tend to stand the test of time longer.

I really, really want Mirror's Edge and NHL 10 offered on this. Games that I'd like to have there just to jump in without having to physically remove whatever single player game I'm playing at the moment.

They may you never know offer a 10% discount for us Gold members, apart from that I cfould see it that if your mates are playing a game they keeping talking you into a product.

I'm all for it. Give me choice. Lower prices at day and date would be nice, but I'll also take cheaper, older games. Having Mass Effect or Crackdown at a $20 download is good stuff. I've also become really attached to playing XBLA and PSN games by just selecting from a menu. I love it. If I can get reasonably priced DLs for games I know I'd keep and play for a long time anyway, then cool.

I'm too lazy to check out that HDD install thread -- about how big are 360 games? I seem to recall in that thread that games are about 4 to 6 GBs on average. I think even the 60 GB HDDs would be tight if you were serious about XBLA, XBO and full 360 games.

120gb hard drive is not enough. For the same price I can buy a terabyte hdd. The price needs to go down on the 120, or it needs to be replaced by a larger option. Preferrably both. There are some games I won't play until I can install them, and that simply not happening with my launch 20 gig hard drive.

I'm not too sure about this idea. I only use steam as a source of retail game digital distribution because changing discs on a PC is much more a hassle to me than doing it on a console. Its still nice to have options though.
