Xbox 360 Live demo availability thread

ITS THERE ITS OUT EVERYBODY RUUUUUUUUUUUUUN TO YOUR XBOX THREEEEEEEESIXTIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Thats what i expected when i clicked this thread :(

Indeed. No point to bump this unless there is a demo.

Making a statement on how you want a demo of a specific game or asking when a demo is out is really pointless, no one knows… It would be better to contact to publisher in question. Really.

That will coincide nicely to when I finally get my fucking 360. Which just happens to be tommorow.

After 3 months of waiting.

Which sucked.

Okay since I can't make threads I gotta ask here:

Anyone have photos of someone running the 360 on a PC monitor through that 360 > PC monitor cable?

I'm not sure if this is VGA or component, but this is a Dell 2405FPS

no online. after intro video brings you to a screen asking you to select one of two cars then you go into a race.

Why? I have my 360 hooked into my LCD through VGA. No pictures, but I can certainly answer ?'s if you have any.

The framerate is alright some times, but when it slows down it SLOWS THE FUCK DOWN. Don't like much the turning feeling either, very floaty.

Wow, kicks you back to the dashboard after the race.

I got wrecked once in a race , I did not catch up to the 7th place guy to the 2nd last turn. What the hell is with that? A full lap without catching up?

I really hope they improve this garbage, I was looking forward to this game.

So is this demo going to make me regret pre-ordering the game w/faceplate? :(

It's the nature of demos... sometimes the demos rock (Fight Night) and sometimes they don't (Full Auto). I really hope the final game is a lot different than the demo. The demo is very old.

If I was you, I would not play the demo and keep an eye for impressions once the game releases.

I dunno, I think the game's a lot of fun. Framerate is definitely an issue, but hopefully that gets cleaned up. The game itself is a blast though, I'm playing it over and over.

How do you avoid getting shot from behind? When I play, the guy behind me just keeps shooting until my plating is gone.

I don't know if there's a better way, but I always just brake and wait for them to zoom past me, then I lay waste to them with heavy firepower.

This demo is pretty disappointing.. Very unstable framerate and the racing just isn't that fun. I hope they've improved the final game..

I've been playing the demo for a while and I'm not really impressed. Those of you who've been looking forward to the game should probably take jedimike's advice and wait for impressions from the full game. Hopefully they improve it a lot 'cause the demo might leave a sour taste in your mouths.

For those complaining about the floaty controls, I don't think they'll improve them for the release.. it just wouldn't work with the type of game they're shooting for. I expect different cars to have different handling characteristics though.

And yes, the demo froze up on me the first time I tried to use the rewind as well (haven't used it since) and this needs repeating wtf@ booting you back the dashboard after the race is over?!

I wasn't planning to pick up the game in the first place, and the demo certainly doesn't make me regret that decision.

This demo isn't too hot. Seems like limited Black-like Destruction Porn with racing. I blew up the gas station, and while it was very pretty and a lot of things went boom, so did the framerate.

:lol

i didnt notice any framerate problems or freezing... but i dont like getting booted back to the lobby after a race.

nevermind... frametrate problems right off the starting line.

Can't wait to see how far the final has come since this old ass demo. :)

It's a pretty dumb move and a bit lazy to put out an old demo especially when the final build is supposed to be much better.

This demo is the opposite of what Fight Night was in that it will do more harm than good.

The Full Auto demo didn't seem that bad oustide of the framerate dipping here and there. I don't think it's something I'd actually buy but it seemed like it'd be a pretty fun rental.

The thing that really annoyed me though was that the game would kick you back to the dashboard after a race. Fuck that. I hope we don't see much more of that nonsense.

If you choose the left car, the game doesn't give Framerate problems, if you choose the right car, then...

LEFT SIDE = Good Demo Experience
RIGHT SIDE = Bad Demo Experience

If that can make you feel better, I've played a very recent preview code of Full Auto yesterday, and the framerate was bad. Really bad. Sometimes it was because of so many things going on at the same time, some other times I could hear the dvd drive slaving to stream the data. The streaming issue could at least hopefully be corrected, but I do not have much hope.
Ho, and for the record I was bored and not that impressed by the game, hopefully it was more an issue about playing it with no sound for the most part. Though I don't think it was only that.

Are there better car designs. i.e. more than shoot forward or shoot behind.

Thanks everyone for the impressions. I am not going to waste my time.

Some weapons can be controlled with the right stick so you can shoot where you want. I have a video of this I'll put online this week end.
Dr_Cogent: This was from a preview build, maybe the final code will be silky smooth... It be better be...

This may be old but - do any of you have trouble downloading large files off marketplace There was a thread on XBL forums about it, but it sort of hasn't got any official response.

I can download smaller files like skins, pics, themes and arcade games, but it freezes up when I try to download something bigger. Sometimes it starts at 5% and then kicks me out due to a "timeout" - when I restart the download it jumps to 50% and then freezes up again. I somehow managed to download Fight Night 3 demo with a dozen restarts.

What's up with that? I can play Live games with no lag issues whatsoever, NAT is fine, network is fine, all is fine. Except large files from marketlplace. Any ideas?
