Xbox 360 Live demo availability thread

its about time! now i'll get to put in some decent time with it. only gave it a brief go at the kiosk and wasnt at all impressed

The v-rex part of the demo is very glitchy, you don't even get to see the v-rex at all...your posse runs up and stops before the part where the v-rex pops out.

Yeah something's up with the demo. I thought the framerate was supposed to be solid on this game, here its very sporadic and jerky.

Heh, it's not.

OK, the full game holds 30 fps MOST of the time, but the framerate just seems to become slightly jerky at times for no reason. Very annoying.

Please disperse people, there is nothing to see here.

Haha, awesome, it only took 4 months :lol

The XBox 360 doesn't even turn three months old till next week. And there's now 11 full demos. I think they're just intentionally putting one out per week.

maybe ubisoft is testing some stuff out for their GRAW demo release. but im not sure what exactly needs to be tested since MS handles most of it i think.

"Whoops the guns don't work in this demo version, oh well"

I love UBI Soft's QA department. Ever since the bug in Far Cry Xbox that makes the boss invincible and impossible to beat. GOOD JOB THAR!!!

Ubisoft : We don't just not test games... we don't re-read anything either!

No doubt. They even admitted they didn't test King Kong on a traditional TV either. WTF? Unbelievable.

in this case it does..

oh and its a free demo, who the fuck cares??

No, it doesn't...

The original released game was dark on regular TVs. Remove the bias goggles for a moment. They fucked up, and apparently have done again so with the demo.

Talk about halfassed. Jackson should have stuck with EA apparently.

It would have been a terrible game if EA made it. Ubisoft made it and it was a decent game. Bugs or no bugs, it's a good game

This bug in the demo is pretty funny though :lol

I havent tried it but I hear its too dark to be playable on HDTVs. If thats the case they should have gone with EA.

The demo has been in stores on display days before the system was released. It takes them 3 months to finally put it up on the marketplace, yet somehow made it worse. To make things even worse, the T-Rex doesn't activate in one of the missions, literally 20 seconds after the beginning of the demo. No one at Ubisoft even checked ONCE to see if the demo worked or not.

As Op_Ivy said in the other thread, how does this happen!?

Same way as how no standard TVs were ever used to test the game once.

It's called management, or lack thereof. The leader, or leaders, are ultimately responsible.

So let me get this straight. The lack-luster, shitty in-store demo was made even shittier for release on Market Place? So glad I avoided this one.

They really don't want you to buy the game. :lol

what's wrong with "furiously beat"?

"to furiously beat" = split infinitive. Some people believe this are a bad thing. Others (including Raymond Chandler, George Bernard Shaw, John Donne, Samuel Pepys, Daniel Defoe, Benjamin Franklin, Samuel Johnson, William Wordsworth, Abraham Lincoln, George Eliot, Henry James, and Willa Cather) disagree.
