Skate demo up in the US...

Whooo Skate demo going as slow as the bioshock demo did.
 
Very nice - yet another demo to download when I fly back - atleast 12 by now I think, damn...

And this has the replay uploading doesn't it? Very cool actually!

Played this for a few hours tonight and the multiplayer is pretty good. Also played a bit of the sp campaign and the dogfighting and ground targeting was well executed. The graphics are also night and day better than the original. I dare say I might just pick this up when it comes out.

Aw man, I've already completed Juarez.

And if the demo is only about Billy's early game levels, everyone will be dissapointed.
 
I just got a 360 and, with it, a trial for Live (48 hours or something). Could I download the Bioshock and Skate demos during the trial?

In other words

1) can i download demos during a trial? ... why not, right?
2) could it possibly take that long to download two demos, however big?

You should be fine - even the free XBL silver accounts have access to marketplace and demo downloads. Of course you'd need the hard drive though since those demos are each a little over 1GB in size.

Demos should take no longer then 15-20 minutes, though of course it varies for everyone...

You don't need a gold membership to download demos.

Have fun with the 100 demos.

Your trial is for Xbox Live Gold, after that you will have Xbox Live Silver for free, on which you can do pretty much everything expect play online multiplayer.
 
Downloading the Call of Juarez demo. I hope the loading times are not as terrible as on PC.
But seriously, the amount of demos and Betas is totally awesome. I'm glad third parties are providing lots of demos and have understood that a good game demoed is a sold game.

played it for a bit.....loading times are infintely better than PC

It was never available in the UK. I don't think Namco distribute their own stuff over here, hence no release date or demo. EA or someone will probably pick up the distribution rights.

Yes you can. Just sign out, then sign up for a Gamertag and choose the US as your country. Just make sure you have a spare email address to use and you remember your details. Very easy to do though.

Eternal Sonata demo on US marketplace too.
 
I actually really enjoyed the full version of Call of Juarez. It's certainly flawed (the stealth levels generally suck) but the gunplay is satisfying and the western atmosphere is really well done.

Cheers, will do that when I get home.... unless BioShock forces me to play it as soon as I get in.... which it very well may.
