Holy shit, Did they use UE2 for Turing Point? Holy moly, talk about last gen... I thought I had accidentally hooked up my old XBox to my monitor for a second.

I KNOW! It's like a time machine back to 2003 or something. I refuse to believe that's UE3!Sho Nuff said:oh my god wtf is this game (Turning Point)
The Orange box demo was just weird. They should have released the Half Life 2 demo, not Episode 2 which is like half way through the series. Doesn't make sense.womp said:Good lord, I just received my latest issue of OXM with the Turok demo on the disc and what a HORRIBLE game. WOW. And what is with that faked in game widescreen? Maybe it was just a bad demo but I certainly wouldn't plunk down $60 for it.
One of the worst demo's I have played since The Orange Box one.

While it's not too bad or horrible. The fov is shitty, Slade is an annoying bitch that never shuts up and, I don't know it just screams average all the way around - visuals, sounds, weapons etc.
I'd clump it in there with Blacksite and Jericho. Just another generic FPS.

I'm curios to try the 360 version to see if the difference is as bad as everyone claims.
watership said:Wait. There is a difference?

That was easy to tell when I played the demo. A couple of buildings didn't load their textures for about five seconds when I fired it up - I just watched them load in, one layer at a time. I thought, "yup, looks like UE3 to me!"Sho Nuff said:oh my god wtf is this game (Turning Point)
edit: OH MY GOD ACCORDING TO WIKI THIS GAME IS USING UE3
Ai chihuahua, let's not and say we did.watership said:I had my head in the sand. Update me!
Same here. I love the arcade feel to it. Does the full game have competitive 2-player co-op? I'd prefer that to deathmatch.Stantron said:Wow. The Club demo did it for me. Graphics are nice and the controls feel solid. I had a lot of fun seeing how I could best my score in the two levels. I can see myself playing it for a while.
Rental ---> will-buy.

Though, it's not showing up in the scandinavian marketplace yet nor in the uk one I heard. Maybe we have to wait a little. =)Spider_Jerusalem said:Beautiful Katamari demo up for european users!

It seems it was a false alarm... it isn't yet showing up in the italian marketplace, too...Anastacio said:Though, it's not showing up in the scandinavian marketplace yet nor in the uk one I heard. Maybe we have to wait a little. =)
Stantron said:It seems to have team death match and objective team matches. Sadly, it doesn't seem to have cooperative play versus computer bots similar to the single player game. That's a shame, cause I don't see why not, and it would have been fun.

A lot more pics here.
It was done by Spark of Call of Duty: Finest Hour fame (or infamy), the game that caused a lawsuit its development was so screwed up, so its not too surprising it's messed upPimpbaa said:Is it just me or does Turning Point look like a HD Xbox 1 game that was a port of a PS2 game? I expected more from codemasters.
