Xbox 360 Live demo availability thread

Holy shit, Did they use UE2 for Turing Point? Holy moly, talk about last gen... I thought I had accidentally hooked up my old XBox to my monitor for a second.

Good lord, I just received my latest issue of OXM with the Turok demo on the disc and what a HORRIBLE game. WOW. And what is with that faked in game widescreen? Maybe it was just a bad demo but I certainly wouldn't plunk down $60 for it.

One of the worst demo's I have played since The Orange Box one.

Oh my god is it actually using the Windows system font at 8-point?

edit: "Got a MP50"...shouldn't it be "an"?
edit: Click the right stick to make the game run at 15fps and have horrible controller lag.

The Orange box demo was just weird. They should have released the Half Life 2 demo, not Episode 2 which is like half way through the series. Doesn't make sense.

But did you actually play the real Orange Box?

Turok Demo up on US marketplace - 1.2 gigs

While it's not too bad or horrible. The fov is shitty, Slade is an annoying bitch that never shuts up and, I don't know it just screams average all the way around - visuals, sounds, weapons etc.

I'd clump it in there with Blacksite and Jericho. Just another generic FPS.

banned.

I'm curios to try the 360 version to see if the difference is as bad as everyone claims.

oh my god wtf is this game (Turning Point)

edit: OH MY GOD ACCORDING TO WIKI THIS GAME IS USING UE3
That was easy to tell when I played the demo. A couple of buildings didn't load their textures for about five seconds when I fired it up - I just watched them load in, one layer at a time. I thought, "yup, looks like UE3 to me!"

Wow. The Club demo did it for me. Graphics are nice and the controls feel solid. I had a lot of fun seeing how I could best my score in the two levels. I can see myself playing it for a while.
Rental ---> will-buy.
Same here. I love the arcade feel to it. Does the full game have competitive 2-player co-op? I'd prefer that to deathmatch.

I'll withhold final judgement until I can try the 360 version because that was the one I was going to pick up. But after playing the PS3 demo...I have to admit I was kind of disappointed. Perhaps I set my expecations a little too high. The bow was cool as hell though. Reminded me of the torque bow in Gears...which is a very good thing.

Finally got around to playing the Turok demo, I really enjoyed it, good stuff. And, yes, I read the turok demo impressions thread and I still enjoyed it, seems like a perfectly fine FPS to me.

It seems to have team death match and objective team matches. Sadly, it doesn't seem to have cooperative play versus computer bots similar to the single player game. That's a shame, cause I don't see why not, and it would have been fun.

TXB: Details for the eight Multiplayer modes here.

A lot more pics here.

Is it just me or does Turning Point look like a HD Xbox 1 game that was a port of a PS2 game? I expected more from codemasters.

It was done by Spark of Call of Duty: Finest Hour fame (or infamy), the game that caused a lawsuit its development was so screwed up, so its not too surprising it's messed up

The conflict demo didn't seem supremely terrible, about on par with the other conflict games.

At least the aiming isn't complete ass.

I whole hearted suggest you guys give the Culdcept Saga demo a look. The full retail game is much better but the demo is only meant to be a taste anyways.
DL'ng now.

There should be a Lost Odyssey demo. Having just bought DMC4 on the PS3, I need to...wait a bit longer before I look at buying a new game.
