Xbox Achievement Art/Wallpapers

Yeah, really cool feature. Pretty much every game has a treasure trove of concept art that goes unseen and unappreciated in the final product, this is a nice avenue to give it some exposure and functionality.

As someone said before, the last active app thing is annoyingly big and really does obscure some nice potentially nice wallpapez

but with one press of the d-pad it looks alright

also BRING DYNAMIC THEMES AND AMBIENCE

NO EXCUSE

I think it's a really cool feature. Remember those rewards/achievement things where you had to do something within a certain period of time? Those were cool. Does anything ever do those anymore?

I mainly use a Youtube achievement one, lol. Though I switch with one of the Sunset Overdrive ones fairly often.
edit: I think it's this one.

Would animated achievement gifs be a cool idea or kinda stupid? Just thinking

I had Vista Ultimate too, it's just...

The damn dashboard is sluggish enough already. Maybe something simple like the PS3 wavy line looking one? I'm not sure if I'm remembering that right...

Im sure something looping like this would be alright for a background

not an entire blu-ray length video, but a small looped thing with some music, its just so damn quiet, the Wii U has everyone running out giving a sense of community (The friggin Wii U feels massively populated!), the PS4 is very welcoming, I would argue that its the most functional dashboard but the XB1 needs that soulful warm feel, like the 360 blades did with its nice colorful ripples

The original xbox felt like a powerful space station, the 360 blades felt human and fun, the NXE was alright but the first step towards Mattrick-dom, 360 Metro was the devolution to that empty soulless feel of cluttered "Bieber on Xbox Music!" ads, Windows 8 on XB1 was fucking horseshit, NXOE can be tinkered to look good and works well but theres quite a bit more that can be done

The community tab is a nice timeline that feels sociable, but nothing feels more alive than sound and vision

Shovel Knight has some unlockable wallpapers that are directly tied to certain achievements. Does anyone know how to use those as backgrounds? Whenever I try, it just uses the achievement art instead.

Edit: DMC4 SE has unlockable wallpapers as well. I wouldn't be surprised if there were more than a few other games with unlockable wallpapers.

Sunset Overdrive's achievements look fantastic.

The laziest ones I've seen are from Dark Souls II and Dark Souls III :/
Yeah. In the case of Dark Souls, I'm sure there's a wealth of concept art they could have used instead of copying the trophy icons. Even some cutscene clips would be nice. That's how I got my current wallpaper:

I found this

"Go to your achievements list, pick a game, and look for any achievements that don't show a gamerscore; those are the ones with reward backgrounds (those achievements are still worth some gamerscore). From there, you can use choose the reward as a background."

Somebody recommended doing it with the achievement app snapped to the side, not full screen

Yeah, doing it from the snapped app worked. It worked from full screen before, so I don't know why it doesn't now. Thanks, though!

Also, some of the Mega Man Legacy Collection achievements look great, too. I'd post them if I knew how.

I agree OP, the achievement wallpapers are awesome when they are used for nice concept art or screenshots from the game. I used one from FH2 for months before they let us use our own screenshots for it.

One of the biggest disappointments was how Mirror's Edge Catalyst had such boring achievement backgrounds given how beautiful the setting and concept art for the game is.
