The stuff they tweeted already was super obvious anyways. If they really wanted to leak stuff, they'd go for the big guns.

Forza Horizon 3 stuff was already leaked beforehand and the release date they "leaked" was just the same date as 2 but a different year (same day of same week with correponding date)

For what exactly? There is no criminal offense here.

If they guy gets caught, he might need to pay an X amount for breach of an NDA, depending if a contract has been signed. And he might risk his job. But there is no crime.

Just, like, get off gaf for a couple days and play games while waiting for the conferences. It's not hard.

what? I'm not saying people who got offended are wrong, I actually never said that, I just tried to explain that I don't think the main intention of the OP with the "stay safe" is to link both events, not trying to be insensitive here, nor defend anyone

It's just nice when things get announced on their terms, not leaked just hours before the show.
Would you rather see an early leaked build of Dead Rising 4, or Phil Spencer announcing it with a cool gameplay trailer on stage? A leaked promo shot of the Xbox One Slim or Phil Spencer holding it on stage like Simba at the beginning of The Lion King?

It's much more fun not knowing these things going in. Even if some of them were heavily rumored going in.
 
Looks like they stopped leaking after that weird GoW 4 claim. Maybe they're rethinking the authenticity of what they're leaking.
 
Unfortunately, this thread has shown me that we are still humans with some little intelligence.

The same people that are defending Nerd-leaks for leaking MS conference stuff will be later calling them victims when their personal information is leaked. I know it's cool to have all that power in your hands once in your life but there's no need to ruin it for others.

Also, I'm not advocating for people to hack Nerd-Leaks, I'm just saying that it would suck if it was the other way round.
