Xbox Gamescon Media Briefing / Showcase

So now i'll bet getting 2 games for free when I pre-order my Xbox One in The Netherlands (a free game for the 2014 delay)? Fifa14 and another game?

I don't know, but, typically, the people who really buy their consoles just for FIFA don't buy their consoles at launch. Majority of my 'FIFA + COD only' mates are just sticking to current gen till the next-gen gets cheaper. Regardless, free game is good for those who will get it.

Even though I couldn't personally give two shits about any sports games the significance of FIFA free in EU cant be understated.

Still not going to beat Sony's numbers either way. Too strong a lead plus....this "briefing" briefed nothing new aside from Fable and "Cobalt"

Microsoft better have something for us Americans or i'll be so salty. But seeing as they've been pretty good the last couple of weeks hope is high.

How can stocks last if it's a digital download?

Da fuq?

Happens in Steam too, they have an stock of keys, once they run out is over, I don't see what's so hard to understand.

The indies policies are in the right direction, new Fable, and a free FIFA for pre-orders, all good news all around, but people still hating and loling, ok...

Laughing at the pre-orders only part because it will do nothing for the barren January to July period Nintendo just went through with record breaking terrible sales.

Sure it may put the pre-orders slightly less in favour of PS4, but they haven't planned for after the initial sales period at all with this move.

I have a feeling that Microsoft is gonna focus more on the Kinect. They were on thin ice before E3, so they probably scrapped some of the Kinect stuff and decided to talk more about it on later date.

The indie early leak really stole the spark of this presentation. Maybe that's the real reason it wasn't streamed. Without it, this showcase didnt have anything meaningful. Now only remains sony, which will obviously screw up and we will end up with a forgettable gamescom. What a pity.

Which are available to anyone right now, Amazon etc. Actual dedicated servers means better service, as the hardware is, you know, dedicated.

No, that's not how it works. We're moving more towards virtual servers and instances because that means a lot easier scaling. Actual buying dedicated boxes that run OS's is pretty old school.

And yes, it's available to anyone who wants to do it, virtual or full, that's not the topic at hand though is it?

Also: I think the Azure platform kinda sucks. But that's a different story.

Guys...

"While stock lasts" refers to the first batch of consoles.
They're giving it free to people who preorder for the first batch of consoles.
