Xbox hiring for new AAAA exclusive ip.

And thus begins the gradual landslide of bullshit terms losing their meaning and being superceded by bigger, bullshittier, just-as-meaningless-as-ever terms.

Wake me up when we get to SSStylish-tier games in 2049.

Another marasmatic sony pain fanboy? go play some god of walking

LMAO God of Walking...that was pretty good.

From what I hear from some youtubers trying to explain this is this studio is supposed to be like a AAA studio but built for efficiency, being able to have a core studio with enough overhead to bring in contractors for specific pieces of the game as needed. So maybe this means it will pump out games quickly without sacrificing quality. That would be a fantastic thing and would be great for all gamers honestly. Sony would have to respond in kind and they are positioned already to do so. In the end win win for Xbots and Ponies alike.

Another thing I'm hearing is that lead director from the Tomb Raider reboot may be heading up that studio. So that makes me believe Microsoft is really serious about creating blockbuster single player games to flesh out their library. Tomb Raider blew my mind when it came out, both graphically and gameplay wise. Story was a bit iffy with all the supernatural stuff but whatever, preferred the Rise of the Tomb Raider's story much more.

definitely excited to see them put this together, it could be an evolution in the development process as we know it.

Wait, there isn't a typo in the title? Haha! Oh Microsoft....

Either way, I am all for this. They have been taking hits on the chin most of this generation for their lack of AAA exclusives to I applaud their efforts to fix the problem.

Just google "Microsoft AAAA games", you'll find articles on the same matter in 2012. So...we'll see about that.

In 2012 they would have been recruiting for staff up Black Tusk, I believe. Of course, they ended up being re-tasked with taking over Gears and renamed as The Coalition, rather than producing new IP, but they've done a good job with that franchise, producing a great remaster and a solid, albeit somewhat unambitious sequel in a relatively short timeframe.

I could be wrong about this but isn't entire meaning of "AAA" is about how big budget the game is rather than the actual quality? So what exactly that extra "A" mean!!? Pouring more money than typical AAA in to the game with even bigger budget for marketing? If thats the case then I have a hard time believing MS put that much money for single player only game.

'Why don't you just make AAA better and make AAA be the top number and make that a little better?'
'(pause) These games are AAAA.'

So, let's mock Microsoft for building a brand new studio created for making new AAA IP's when that's all anyone has nagged about for years. That's awesome. Lol. You guys are a hoot!

Geez, some of you guys are relentless fanboys...

I'm interested in seeing what AAAA means. I get the feeling we may find out more at E3.
