Only on PS3, and only with the CE

It's an EA game, don't try to fool me. :D

When I say "later", it could be in 6-12 months ... for all I care with the great games already planned ...

Just got SoA points for buying 3 (400pts).
How do you check your account history see if you've been credited as of yet. I vaguely remember some MS Connect site that let you see your points balance.

Edit: Nevermind, I'm 99% sure that I received my 400 ms point rebate too.

Billing.Microsoft.com iirc

I can no longer stomach these 1200 point releases. If I can't get discounted points, a sale, or an iPhone version, I'm going without. I will not support this artificial price inflation.
I will not support original games.

Ok.

You're fine this month then. The deal is spend 2400 in october and get 800 back right? So just consider all 1200 point games 800 pointers.

They used to charge $20 for shovelware at retail. Now we're getting GOTY-caliber titles at $15. I don't see how this is a situation that warrants complaint.

For those that have a psychological barrier at 800 space bucks I suggest keeping an eye on a title called Dungeon Defenders coming out soon. It's $10 but it has more features than most $15 downloadable games I've seen.

Good to know. Thanks!

The recent inflation is artificial. Sure, some games warrant the 1200 price tag. Many of them do not, however, and it is clear to me that the new baseline price for an average XBLA game is 1200 points. That's absurd.

Ah, the good old days when a 1600 point card would net you two games...

Try to buy something... :P

Try to buy something, then notice at the bottom of the screen it should say "press X to add Microsoft points." Then you can choose to redeem a card or use a credit card to purchase.

:O are you a wizard?

srsly though its kind of annoying how it doesnt show you your current balance until you try to buy something

Also you can set up your paypal account on Xbox.com so you never have to give your credit card info. This is how I add points.

I've never understood the discounted points argument. The thing is, regardless of how you get your points, if you buy a game when it's 1200 points, you're supporting that price point. Buying a game with discounted points saves you money, sure, but it sends no message to the seller. All they see is you being ok w/ buying it @ 1200 points because that's what they sold it for. If you want to send them a message, don't buy it at all or wait for an actual discount on the offered price.

Limbo team unveils its next project
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-10-11-limbo-team-unveils-its-next-project

Playdead Studios, the developer behind hit Xbox Live Arcade platformer Limbo, has announced that it's working on a brand new IP.

The Danish studio's CEO Dino Patti told Joystiq, "I can't tell much, but I can tell you that if you liked Limbo, it'll definitely be for you. The gameplay style you'll really like. You'll feel it's the same team who made it, but everything will be changed."

Patti went on to explain Limbo was an Xbox exclusive because Playdead "used a lot of time and a lot of money" developing the game and he hoped it would help "get the money back."

There's a chance its next game might hit other platforms too though. "We are open for everything. To be honest, we want as many people to play our games as possible. If we end up going exclusive, we may do it for various reasons, but we just want as many people to play the game as possible."

Limbo was one of the highlights of this year's Xbox Live Summer of Arcade. Eurogamer's very own John Teti awarded it a glowing 9/10.

ESRB rates Namco's 'Aero-Cross' for 360 and PS3
http://www.joystiq.com/2010/10/11/aero-cross-for-360-and-ps3/

The ESRB rating for Namco Bandai's Aero-Cross (first seen in Australian and German ratings) includes a content description that confirms our suspicions about it being a follow-up to the surreal, arcade foot-racing game Metro-Cross. It's a futuristic racing game about a running man, just like Metro-Cross was, and places obstacles in front of that runner like "mines, hurdles, and rolling barrels."

New to this game: robots that administer a shock to the racer, "resulting in a shocking effect that causes the racer's body to twitch." That's progress! Aero-Cross was rated for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, likely as a downloadable game.

[re: Metro-cross follow-up Aero-cross] Wow, now there's a game I didn't expect to be revived. I admire companies for really digging in their backlog rather than going for the obvious stuff, though. Seems to indicate they're bringing it back more because they had a good idea for it, rather than simply trading on name recognition.

For the 2400 points deal, I decided on Super Meat Boy and Monkey Island SE, that leaves me 400 points short. Any good 400 point XBLA games? I already have Chime.

Is the first one ever coming to 360? I kept hearing it was but now it just seems the second one is...

It was coming but I remember they didn't pass Microsoft's test and never submitted the game again.

Also has there been any news out of Chair? figured we would hear about another Shadow Complex or a new ip by now.

They're on Project Sword for iPhone/iPod (the game that will use the impressive Unreal Engine). : /

Wha? Well, I thought the demo sucked personally (on PC) but why would they put money and resources into porting and then drop it after failing their first submission (which is probably more common than not)?

Where is my damned KoF 2002 UM, you bastards?! It was supposed to be last Spring, now it's Autumn and it's not even listed on the ESRB site yet!

They're making Epic Citadel for the iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad.
Whatever happened to their Ender's Game related project? I haven't heard a single thing about it since it was announced.

Jetpac Refueled is awesome and very underappreciated.

Why would you hire someone to show off your game and not make sure they know what their talking about or even a gamer? She didn't even know the pigs name.

"Our graphics are now 1080p. It looks like a next gen game as opposed to..umm..outdated graphics. Right now I'm tightening up the graphics on level three."

Anyway, I had to skip this game last gen. Glad I will get a second chance.
