I purchased Raskulls last week when I discovered that you could purchase it early through ilomilo. I really enjoy the art style, the gameplay mechanics, and overall humor you guys placed in it. Some levels are difficult, but not too overly difficult where I'm throwing my controller.

I also plopped down my remaining points on the premium theme. I like it! I wish your team much success.

Just noticed on Joystiq that Hydro Thunder is 400pts today in the Christmas sale, down from 1200, so that has been bought :D
Yep a true bargin, been playing the game and it's DLC quite a lot since I bought it in the sale.

Today's game deal is Monday Night Combat for 600 allards, the game is so worth it and after the last 4 months there is still a strong healthy community, money well spent if you like team based shooters.

just played the microbot demo:
great looking game which will probably get overlooked by many people.

great look and atmosphere and a good upgrade system, looks like there a ton of upgrades for the ship. what really surprised my, was the look and feel of the bloodstream. it looks and feels awesome (just play the demo and see for yourself).

the game is slow (almost relaxing) and controls feel a bit floaty (which is fitting because you are swimming in the bloodstream) but it gets better with every upgrade.

Not feeling either of the 2 new XBLA games to be honest.

Out of the two I had been keeping a hopeful eye on Raskulls but in the end it's a weird hybrid that doesn't scratch any particular itch. Part platformer, part racer and part puzzler, it barely reaches mediocre in any of those categories. Out of the game types on offer I most enjoyed the 'reach the end before running out of shots' and 'don't let your boost run out' modes, but the racing seems to be the meat and it's really unsatisfying. It's too frantically paced to allow any strategy other than run, spam shoot and hope for the best. The weapons seemed really weedy too and made next to no difference to the outcome. And the straight up platformer levels are just boring. Shame because I found it quite funny and if the game had even just been adequate I probably would have bought it but it's too flimsy and the video at the end showed nothing to make me think the rest of the game would be different.

Microbots bored me to the point where I didn't even finish the trial. Granted, I'm no twin-stick shooter expert, buying only Everyday Shooter and the Geometry Wars series in recent memory, but I found this woolly to control and aim and completely lacking in anything exciting or interesting.

At least IloMilo next week is a genuinely great entry in the XBLA library

There really should be an OT, I was confused when I couldn't find one. Probably one of (if not the) best demos in 2010, with a lot of meat to it, the humor was great, and the incentive to upgrade to full was interesting. (Especially since it offers a different one if you exit then go back?)

The game seems like a lot of fun, once I've picked up a point card tomorrow I'll buy the full game.

Douchebag. Yes, me.
Is no one playing Raskulls?

It is absolutely fantastic so far. Mr Driller meets a platformer, with great art and humor that is actually funny.
