Just completed the first case in Sherlock and really enjoyed it, far better than I expected. I wouldn't have picked it up but for recommendations in here so thanks to everyone who suggested buying it.

Yeah just finished the first case too, took me about 3 hours.
Was pretty good.

Free GWG Sniper Elite V2 effectively worked to steer me away from SE3. I'm downright awful at it and it's annoying to miss a shot and have the whole SS against you, shooting without missing and dropping dead immediately, then repeat.

Not saying it's a bad game, I'm just bad at it and don't think I'd enjoy 3 if I'm struggling with 2.

I'm itching for killer instinct, is the deal good? What do I get with the complete edition? Is there going to be more seasons after 2?

You get every season 1 and 2 character, their retro costumes, an extra set of accesories for customization, and the original two Killer Instinct games with online play. All of this would normally be worth $80.

There might be a season 3, but that probably won't be until maybe September or October at earliest.

Picked up NBA Live and Sniper Elite. I have EA Access and know the rumor of NBA coming to it but the NBA team is working hard to get the series back to where it used to be and they deserve something. Not an awful game by any means.

Hmmm...LoTR fan and curious to see what Sherlock's game is like too. I know about the "not so good" aspects about Shadow of Mordor.
I need to make up my mind now! :O

Is this sale USA only? I can't access any of it through xbox.com or in the X1 UI > Games store.

I'm in Australia and I'm able to access it through the ultimate game sale tab to the right of the home screen. Comes up with all the deals.

Edit: you're better off purchasing through the US store anyway. Works out cheaper.

Am I going to regret not picking up Alien Isolation at this price?

I cant seem to convince myself yet to buy it. But I think I want it.

Just bought Crimes & Punishments because I value your recommendations, Miles. You've never let me down before, don't start now.

I genuinely hope you're not left disappointed. I try not to overhype or oversell games I recommend, but I do freely admit that I sometimes can go a little overboard in my praise of a game I find to be very good.

On the fence for Sniper, $10?

I liked it. Definitely worth $10 in my opinion. Play on the higher difficulties if you want a real challenge. Cadet is a cakewalk.

If you're happy to play an assassins creed knockoff then get Mordor, if that sounds awful then don't.

That's not me saying it's crappy btw, it's a solid game.

I'm really enjoying it so far. I was a fan of the last two Sherlock Holmes games but the performance issues and overall ugliness were big issues. This one doesn't seem to have any of that, so that's a major plus.

Happy to hear it.

I guess I was lucky as this is the first Sherlock game I've played, but boy am I happy I did give it a shot. Such a great game and I cannot wait for the next entry.

Last chance for everyone to pick up Sherlock Holmes.

Come on, people. Don't let this opportunity pass you buy. BUY IT!
This sale and your suggestion alone led me to purchase this game. I had thoughts about it before, but gave it little more than a passing glance given the price.

I haven't played any Sherlock games before; having only played through the first case so far, I would very much like to reaffirm Mile's praise of the game, as it is an absolutely brilliant investigative title.

It also seems to be a very inspired game so far. At first I took its "Crimes & Punishments" title at nothing more than face value, but then I saw a portrait of Dostoevsky hanging in Sherlock's room. I see similar themes between this game and Dostoevsky's work among some of the characters; it seems to be much more appropriately titled than I first imagined.

From what I've played of it so far, I also want to strongly recommend this game to anyone browsing through with even the slightest interest in it.

Bought the version of Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light that didn't include the season pass because Xbox.com's design is hard for me to understand and they had the same background picture.

Ugh. Hopefully xbox support can help me out. Is Dead or Alive 5 freemium worth the $5? I'm tempted to pick up Trials Fusion too...

If it helps, there are no DLC achievements.
