Q: Does Xbox One require an always on Internet connection?
A: No, it does not have to be always connected, but Xbox One does require a connection to the Internet.

oh ok that clears it up
What about countries that have no XBL support? Will they be able to use the console?
Well you see, it's pretty straight forward.
1.) The Xbox doesn't not require an always online connection.
2.) The Xbox requires an online connection.
Q: Do I need to have a specific cable or satellite TV provider to watch live TV on Xbox?
A: Our goal is to enable live TV through Xbox One in every way that it is delivered throughout the world, whether thats television service providers, over the air or over the Internet, or HDMI-in via a set top box (as is the case with many providers in the US). The delivery of TV is complex and we are working through the many technologies and policies around the world to make live TV available where Xbox One is available.
I understand completely.
OK this wasn't really answered. I need to know if my cable provider will work.
Doest that confirm world wide launch for this year?
also, has anyone made a thread about this? http://gamingeverything.com/48324/m...-one-games-for-e3-possible-black-tusk-reveal/
So out of all this mess, your cable provider being supported is your biggest concern? lol

It doesn't have to be connected 24/7, but you do have to connect it once in a while.
Ahah! Perfect.
FUCKING LIESQ: How do consumers benefit by being connected to the cloud?
A: The cloud makes every experience better and more accessible. Because Xbox One is powered by the cloud:
Your games have more power available to create new gameplay, persistent worlds, and deeper experiences.
I don't believe so.
Feel free to do so.
FUCKING LIES
Why would you live there? What about countries that have no XBL support? Will they be able to use the console?

I'm interested in the always online thing. My initial assumption was that it'll just need an Internet connection to authenticate your games and access features like the web browser but its still not 100% clear.
Why would you live there?
Q: Does Xbox One require an always on Internet connection?
A: No, it does not have to be always connected, but Xbox One does require a connection to the Internet. Were designing Xbox One to be your all-in-one entertainment system that is connected to the cloud and always ready. We are also designing it so you can play games and watch Blu-ray movies and live TV if you lose your connection.
nevar forget

How will the cloud computing aspect work without an internet connection?
