Xbox One - Walk into a store and pick it up?

If anyone in the Bay Area wants an Xbox One (San Jose specifically), I have one on layaway at Walmart that I'm going to end up cancelling. I have until early to mid December to pick it up, so if you're in need of one, just swing me a PM and it's yours for MSRP + tax.

PMed you!

Thanks, but I'm kinda skeptical of Target since they showed full stock over the weekend and when my friends went, they found none. :(

Pittsburgh.
If any one knows where they are available (nearby lol), my buddies will be happy

The Target at the South Hills Village Mall had two when I was there at noon.

Sorry I didn't tell the thread sooner, might be gone now.

Also the Gamestop had 1.

I just don't know what to do! I'm tempted to get the One as my next generation console of choice, but the PS4 is a lot cheaper and will have the better exclusive in the long term, but by then I will be able to pick a bundle up.

Does anyone know anywhere in the UK which will have walk in and buy stock?

Oh god this CoD player numbers comparison is so silly, how can one even come up with something like that and believe it has any meaning? The fact that it was from the Xbone launch weekend which means probably every single Xbone owner was playing on saturday makes it meaningless already and that's just one of the more obvious failures of this comparison.

I went to two Targets near me that both had changed from Out of Stock to In Stock today and at both I was told they never got any more in since launch. I'm done consulting their website to check stock. It's bogus. I left Target feeling kinda sorry for Nintendo. Their site was pristine and full of stock. Sony and Microsoft's were demolished and the glass enclosures to hold the PS4 and Xbox One were barren.

click the quick look, not the product page. yeah, product page won't let you buy but the quick look lets you add to cart.

edit - also something is going on at Target (and please don't fucking say 'they're online inventory checker blah blah blah blah'). I did a zip code check and yesterday it was like 4 local stores showing in stock. Today is 10 local stores in stock (over 50% of them).

PS4 shows in stock at Target.com too when you click quick info.

Same for Xbox One, but when you get to the final step of check out it tells you the item is not in stock and has been removed from your cart :(

Oh geez, I keep forgetting Radio Shack is a place :(. They got wiped out for the most part in RI/MA. I bet there's a few sitting there hiding, just waiting to be bought.

I know right. The only Radio Shack that I can think of is on the second floor in the corner for a 50% empty indoor shopping mall. I bet it has tons of Xbox Ones!

EDIT: Called the 3 closest Radio Shacks. 2 said they didn't carry video game consoles and the 3rd said they haven't gotten any PS4 or Xbox Ones in yet but do plan to have them sometime.

What are the chances of getting a console on Thursday? I thought somebody said Walmart or someone else would be unleashing their Black Friday stock a day early.

If I can't find one for my friend to play some DR3 co-op after Thanksgiving dinner I'm gonna be very sad.

You can stand in line starting at 4pm on Thursday, but I'm not sure when they will let you buy the console. Call for details.

Thanks to this thread I got one of two units at my local Target this afternoon. I appreciate the heads-up about Target getting some in! Several stores in my area (Portland OR Metro) are still showing stock as of right now.

Doing much better... Yet CoD on Xbox One peaks at 30,000 this Saturday while it peaks at 24,000 at the same time on Saturday. Wouldn't surprise me if Battlefield 4 is also doing better on the One than PS4.

Sounds reasonable to me. PS4 has another pretty high profile FPS to split that demographic up a little more with Killzone. And it's not at all surprising that FPS fans would remain Xbox's top demographic.

But even with a weaker proportional grip on that demographic, Sony will sell more of these games on PS4 this year by virtue of a larger install base at year's end.

Definitely none of either console at the Best Buy in Mt. Laurel, NJ. That shouldn't come as a shock, though, since they're holding back stock for Black Friday.
haha that's 4 minutes from my house- if you are in the area: hit up target in cherry hill or delran- I saw 2 XB1s at each last night

Posting this again in here:

Is there any chance of me being able to pick an X1 up in time for Christmas?

I've checked and it seems like pretty much everywhere says it's unlikely to be able to deliver before Christmas day.

I'm in the UK by the way.

Nice! I'm actually in the market for a PS4, but I am in here sympathizing with people that can't get a One, because I know your pain.

Staples, huh? Well they don't have anything on their site, but I suppose that doesn't necessarily mean they wouldn't have the system in stores. There's one right on the way home, so why not?

I just walked in a Target here in Austin, TX and got an XB1. They had 3 out someone before me bought 2, "I was like wth? I see why they go fast"

I see nothing on their website for XB1 or PS4, do they have them in stores? There are no Staples near me to check.

The Staples Canada website lists the product but says sold out for online stock. However if you have a local Staples in your area you may want to call them and ask to see if they have any in stock. No one thinks to go to Staples to buy a game console.

Canadians should also check London Drugs and Shoppers Drug Mart as they both carry game consoles.

Try supermarkets, i saw 2 in asda near me, Bangor ,NI

May be worth calling if in Cincy area... Seems odd since doing the same search for PS4 shows everything out of stock but doing a Xbone search shows in stock all over Northern KY, Cincinnati, Dayton and even a Lexington KY store in the 20 it showed.

http://www.target.com/p/xbox-one-standard-edition-console/-/A-14787660#prodSlot=medium_1_2 41042 is my zip code but i'm not looking just killing time waiting on stupid Fedex guy.

Assuming they are in stock for a BF re-release.

EDIT: looked again and Lexington KY store also shows a PS4 in stock.

I still have the Xbox One in San Jose, CA if anyone wants it. MSRP + Tax. I'd rather give it to someone on Neogaf than cancel the layaway or sell it on Craigslist/Ebay.

For that to be true, you'd have heard Microsoft boasting of selling 1 million+ in the North American region in 24 hours.

It can't be yield issues if Sony are doubling the amount in fact smashing the all time console debut in the US.

For Sony, the official figures suggest that yield was good. Demand was greater.

Npds should be interesting.

Yeah since PS4 sold 1 mil just in NA alone, they're going to lead in NPD but that really doesn't mean anything right now. Both consoles will sell as much as they can ship for this holiday season.

Where do you get this? MS launched in many regions and now are shipping the second shipment to retailers. Sony is launching in EU on Black Friday.

The article says MS May have an edge. MAY. With Sony launching in Europe tomorrow, I would not doubt that MS can get more units to NA shelves tomorrow. This has nothing to do with who sold the most in 1 territory. From the reports it looks like MS and Sony shipped a similar amount of units for their launches but spread them out differently.

All reason suggests the cheaper PS4 will sell more, probably close to a 2:1 in favour of PS4.

The ratio depends on how quickly Sony can get stock into stores, but there's absolutely no doubt of PS4 selling more.

2:1? I don't understand where you people come up with these numbers. I think it is very likely that the systems will essentially sell out by Xmas and that the will both pull similar numbers because the supply chains are similar. This is my version of reason, though I could be wrong. Maybe one of them is paying more to get marginally more product pushed through TSMC but TSMC is running at capacity in 28nm and cannot just screw over a high volume customer like MS or Sony unless they want them to think about using Globalfoundries or Samsung for their chips.
