Xbox One - Walk into a store and pick it up?

The article says MS May have an edge. MAY. With Sony launching in Europe tomorrow, I would not doubt that MS can get more units to NA shelves tomorrow. This has nothing to do with who sold the most in 1 territory. From the reports it looks like MS and Sony shipped a similar amount of units for their launches but spread them out differently.

And you're basing this assumption exactly on what?
We don't know how many PS4s Sony shipped to Europe yet. If they matched NA launch and shipped 1m here, which seems plausible, then they have a total of 2m PS4 shipped (assuming they have not restocked NA stores in the last 2 weeks at all).
It's simply not possible for MS to have shipped another 1m after their launch one week ago (hell, here in Europe a lot of retailers are still carrying unsold day 1 editions, but sell-through is OT here), so logic suggests difference in shipped units for November is going to be 2:1 at the very least.

Yes, and you can start standing in line in the electronics area at 4pm. If they run out of consoles you get a voucher to get one at a later time (but you have to pay for it in the store today).
 
should change the title to "Xbox one and PS4- walk into a store and pick it up", read from people on reddit and CAG that stores have been holding back shipments for tomorrow, and since its in some BF ads you can bet both will be there.

good luck to everyone going to buy one though, will be hard since scalpers still want it :/

I dont think they're doing the voucher for the consoles when they run out. The voucher is only for the items that are guaranteed to be in stock for an hour. The consoles just say while supplies last.

Maybe, I'm looking at the ad right now. It just says while supplies last, quantities limited for both the Xbox One and PS4. There are other boxes in the ad that have a little thing that says 1 hour in stock guarantee for games, tvs, laptops, iPads and a few other things but its not on console section.

What they could be doing though, is handing out vouchers for the stock they have and then you pay for it up front and then they get it for you, rather than trucking it through the store. Which I didn't even think about until now. I got confused with their in stock guarantee (where you get a voucher if they run out) and then the claiming the high dollar item process.
 
The dude that said stand in line at 4 PM, are you insinuating that the line will take 2 hours for you to get to the counter?
 
I really want to grab a ps4 or Xbox one, but I'm not gonna go out until 8-9 tonight so I'm guessing my chances are slim. I might just try going to bestbuy when it opens and hope for the best.

No, it is because I guess some items have limited quantities (PS4 and XB1) and that they guaranteed items only last for 1 hour, so they are expecting a lot of people and it is first come first serve. They won't allow you to start forming a line until 4pm in the electronics area. I'm guessing they are also doing this so it is not a frenzy of people rushing around in electronics fighting for stuff, and since games and stuff are behind locked glass anyway they'd rather just have you wait in line then have you tell them what you want and them get it for you in an orderly fashion. That is my guess.

The girl at the electronics section said they will be selling them at 6 PM so thanks, I will get there at 4 then.
 
Post your results if you go. I have Thanksgiving dinner with the family at 4pm so I won't be able to stand in line but I might try to get there at 6pm.
 
I've been waiting at Walmart in Scottsdale since three. They just handed out wristbands and at that time there were 6 in line for Xbox and 2 for PS4. The guy said they had 16 Xboxes to sell and 12 PS4s.

I didn't want to get fucked, so I showed up at 3:30PM. I was close to being first in line, I waited all the way until 6PM and got one, thanks for the help.
 
gonna call the stores nearby my workplace tomm at lunch. hopefully walmart and the other store really did hold their stocks of ps4 or xbone for bf. *finger crossed* for not alot of ppl buying it. :(

Here at Walmart in Hawaii 40 PS4s and 10 Xbones. I was number 9 in the Boneyard. They gave us wristbands. Coming back in an hour.
 
I still can't believe that Amazon isn't restocking. I'm signed up for the restocking notice and they send those emails days ahead of restock normally... ffs
 
Might stop in Wal-Mart after work just for curiosity sake. I doubt they'll have any stock left by that time.

Yeah, I expected them to at least restock PS4 by this time since it has been two weeks since launch. It's a little surprising.
 
at my walmart there were around 30 Xbox Ones and around 10 people in line at 5.55pm (5 mins before they could be sold).
 
Not sure where to put this but the GameStop in Dedham ma has xbox ones. Actually funny story how I know this. I was in line with a friend and the clerk came out to give out numbers for the PS4 and Xbox one. The ps4s were gone fast that caused a few people waiting behind me to leave. Then the clerk called out for the Xbox one and no one ask for a number. It was kind of surprising. I ended up buying two psn+ cards and my friend bought beyond two souls. We got out of there at around 1:45am.

So I just went to nearest Mediaworld/Mediamarkt to check out if they had PS4 available (got no luck), didn't ask how many, but they still had Day 1 Xbones available... I'm in Europe, though, so this is kind of expected.

No. It's a nice system. Both are good, not great but good. While the PS4 has better specs the Xbone feels like a higher quality product. Buy 1 or buy both, it will be worth it in the long run.

Xbox one isnt very hard to find.

if you are talking about a normal 500$ xbox one, i think thats up to you.

i think KI is very well a killer app for me. but to each has his own " i dont have xbox one yet "
