Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed Releases April 25th

Yeah, just like Torna lol
The Japanese title is just "A New Future"
Redeemed sounds more like "saving the future"

When Torna first released did it have physical release? I got Torna through expansion pass which you can access through with Xenoblade 2's main menu. I'm guessing Future Redeemed works same way.
Does anyone remember if the physical release dropped much later than the digital for Torna The Golden Country?

Looks like Monolith Soft like to surprise us with the release date lol. Even release date of Xenoblade 3 got push forwarad
Monolith Soft one of the very few developers who pull this off, especially these days it common to see games getting delayed left and right.

I could be wrong but I don't remember Torna having physical release when it first came out.

There are some theories that "A" is Alvis's other form same way Pyra and Mythra was for Pneuma.

"A" looks like female version of Alvis

And what she wielding is Monado, it looks different but thats definitely Modado.

The Japanese text below her name is her class "Monado Fencer" and her weapon "Monado." Even her earring is the core processor on Alvis chest

The hand guard/ring area of the sword is similar to the Monado used by Zanza

Union Combo
The tag "Union" of two characters. By cooperating with a union, you can unleash a powerful combination attack "Union Combo". Ability also improves when attacking with Union Combo. Depending on the combination of unions, the attacks and improved effects will also differ.

You can actually choose who you pair up for the combo.....thats interesting.

Two things, first I just got my forearm tattooed with the terms symbol today. Second, I just was watching trailers and analysis thinking "damn, I need this in my life"… and here it fucking is!!!!

No physical copy is causing me anguish though.

Pretty sure Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Torna are out of print.

So in addition to that, not sure WTF is Nintendo's problem, but them not doing physical release is a fuckign joke.

Sad no announcer voice. Well, it make sense. It doesn't have the blade combo stage

Loved XC3 but sold my Switch after completing as I thought Switch 2 would release end of this year as well as this.

But now this is releasing in a few days and Switch 2 is probably not until end of next year.

I dun goofed. 😬
So guys/gals, my friend said he'll lend me his Switch so I can play this, however, I no longer have the base game. :messenger_astonished:

Is this playable standalone!?

Nope, requires the base game. No announced standalone.

You could have at least waited until they actually announced Switch 2 before you start selling your original Switch.

Edit: Even then we don't know if next Nintendo system going to be backward compatible.

Doesn't look like she's a party member. Since Glimmer has Mythra's Tsundere attitude, maybe Mythra's kid is at home cooking everyone a nice meal?
Maybe the two kids can fuse the same way Mythra & Pyra shared a body? We never really got an explanation for how they were able to live as two separate entities towards the end, and we also don't really know about what happened to Pneuma. Maybe they can fuse again to take on Pneuma form. What if the two siblings share a bond that results in Glimmer, or Glimmer has an alternative personality too that would be the other kid?

Well Pyra was created from Mythra when she had emotional breakdown in Torna but the kids already born as separate beings. My far fetch theory is because Aegis core crystal hold all information of life they could create two separate bodies.

For some reason I feel sure that something along those lines would have a special hair colour to indicate it

I wonder if this is some kind of punk and the game is actually bigger than Torna.

The setup generally parallels Torna: the Golden Country in so many ways that this game appears to be a prequel explaining how things got to where they are by the start of XC3 just like Torna does for XC2.

But...there are so many major parts of the series that were NOT in XC3 but are in this game. Klaus is in the trailer even though he was absent from XC3. Alvis is here and whatever became of him is getting addressed. Riku is here and there will be no other chance to explain what his deal is, and it looks like he might be kind of a big deal. The ultimate fates of the main hero from XC1 and the main hero from XC2 both will be determined here.

It just feels like, with these elements, this game might do much more than what Torna did, somehow going beyond prequel status and instead being a kind stealth grande finale to the entire chronicles of xenoblade, maybe even having a galactic conclusion that sets the whole universe right while taking the time to setup Aionios on the side. And while it's not realistic to expect it to be the size of a full Xenoblade game, with the kind of major story elements it's juggling, maybe it's like 70% the size of a full game or something.

I looked at videos to try and get any clues about whether this might be a larger game than Torna, but I couldn't really find anything. I saw videos with level 4 characters, which is good because it suggests you start at level 1 unlike smaller stories like Future Connected, but you start at level 1 in Torna anyway so that doesn't really prove the game will be larger than Torna. I also saw the community circle and compared it to the one from Torna and the community circle in Future Redeemed actually looked much smaller. But maybe the community circle gets larger as you go to new areas or there are multiple circles or something, who knows.

XC3 is a great game, but its tale being set in the combined future of XC1 and XC2 implied there would be story revelations about the overall shared Xenoblade universe that were disappointingly absent. But since Future Redeemed has Klaus, Alvis, the Zohar, retro Riku, Old man Shulk and Chad-a-saurus Rex, there's a possibilty it might be a much more epic game than its price, Torna parallels and shadow drop suggest.

Sounds like a good time to get the OLED then...

What time do we anticipate this to drop? Does Nintendo have a standard release timeslot?
One thing I found weird is in west getting the DLC in April 25th while in Japan they are getting it in 26th.

Japan.

I need a physical copy of this.

Give it the Torna treatment, Nintendo. It'll sell. Just give me a physical copy to complete my collection

Can not wait for this. Is Xenoblade the best RPG of modern times or is there anything im being daft to miss. Is tales of Arise on Monolith's level?

I somewhat enjoy Tales of series but for my taste there are no where near same level as Monolith Soft games.

I am truly in love with these games, and I need something to get my teeth into once this is over. I guess it's time for a persona 5 run until Dragon Quest comes out....sadge.

Well...shit.

I saw the limited edition soundtrack for XC3 with the 2 flute replicas 2 days ago and instantly pre-ordered. 140€.
Then I just saw there is also a 'Trinity Edition' limited edition soundtrack with all 3 games. ~200€.
tCIKwjM.png

Preordered. I mean look at it!

I can't cancel the first order, and wouldn't, because the Trinity edition doesn't have the flutes.
