Xenoblade Chronicles X: NA Special Edition announced.

Just preordered one no problem on Amazon. Thought I missed the boat too. Hopefully I can nab one on BB for the GCU discount and cancel this one.

It's not as good but that doesn't mean it's bad. Different composers and the group that did the first game have a completely different compositional structure compared to Sawano. Xenoblade had the overall better score imo though.
 
Odd, it wasn't letting me add it to the cart until I clicked "Pre-order: Buy now" instead of "Add to cart".

Thought it wasn't letting me pre-order it from the UK at first, but if it's gone through then I'm not going to question it!

For a second I thought you were linking the few vocal tracks that lots of people really dislike and very vocal about. I've listened to the whole soundtrack and I actually have a lot of favorites and there are plenty without vocals. Those 3 are among my favorites.
 
Really excited for the game but I have almost no interest in special editions. Still cool that NOA is doing this. Crazy considering we had to beg for the first game.
 
I'm almost tempted to get this myself, but I have a feeling the NUK store might include the USB, in the same way Zelda from there included Skull Kid.

I think I'll wait for Gamestop to take preorders and go to my local store. I'd rather buy it there. I don't want to have to worry about Amazon going cheap on packaging and the box arriving damaged.

Amazon does good packaging. I've never had anything damaged. From my own experience anyway.

I've never in the 6+ years of ordering shit on Amazon have had a damaged item due to poor packaging.

I really like the landscape packaging over steelbook honestly. Also the jump drive is a neat physical item. It fits with the custom character who isn't going to get an Amiibo like Shulk.

I would hope at least 16GB.

I mean sure the artbook could maybe add $10 to the cost of the collector's edition (It's not hardback) and the art card seems minor unless it's on some high grade glossy card stock or something.

I mean compared to the Disgaea 5 CE which comes with the full soundtrack, a figure, hardcover art book, and some fancy wall scroll and that is only $80. The Xenoblade X CE is $10 more, so I'd think it's reasonable the USB stick is at least minimum 8GB.

I am not complaining, but just making a fair point why this particular CE is priced $30 more than it's standard rather than the typical $20 increase instead.
 
Seems pretty expensive for what's in the box. I preordered it anyway, but I hope bbuy gets this so I can at least take gcu off it.
 
If it was the entire soundtrack I could justify the price. As it stands, I would be paying $30 for a 2GB USB design and artbook.

I might bite for GCU pricing though.

Not really. That just shows them they can charge that much for so little. Nothing else. It only validates their lack of trying.

People only have themselves to blame for future anorexic CEs by supporting it. But you know the old proverb...

Well, it could have been worse. Sure, it could have had the steelbook too, but I'm glad I had the chance for it and it wasn't an exclusive to the store in new york.
 
I have to admit that the "composer 10 track" lists really bother me. Include the OST or don't add the damn songs to begin with. It feels to cheap.

Decent special edition though, but i'm not sure if it warrants the price.

That's why I didn't link those ones :P It makes people think those vocal tracks are the only thing in the game, even then, they're really not that bad. There's a nice variety if you actually listen to more of the soundtrack. I haven't listened to everything yet. Don't want to spoil it. It's different from the first Xenoblade, but it's definitely not bad.

I would much rather have a 16GB USB stick with no music than whatever bootleg amount they're giving us and 10 songs.
