10 tracks are bad enough knowing that NOA won't ever release the full soundtrack in the US.
Why doesn't Nintendo just throw up soundtracks on iTunes or Amazon Music in MP3 format? Low risk it would seem.

Nintendo likely doesn't completely own the music or perhaps doesn't own it at all. I imagine the rights are split between Hiroyuki Sawano (composer), Defstar Records and Sony Music Marketing (they released the soundtrack in Japan) with maybe some Nintendo thrown in there.

55 tracks spread across 4 discs. The whole soundtrack's been out since May. There's a lot of great content that will be missed no matter how they decide to cherry pick this music. :\
This LE annoys me. Not a CD, a USB stick, and they can't even throw more than a basic sampling on it. And no steelbook. Instead, some little art card.
I'd prefer the EU one. At least the price is right.

Nah. Nintendo owns it. The Japanese CDs say "Licensed by Nintendo." They just don't feel like bringing it over just like all their other OSTs. Just like the ones Europe gets in their Club Nintendo.

I'm very happy they didn't go with a steelbook since I just dump all those in my closet as they look so out of place on my shelf. I always rip my music tracks anyway so having a usb drive I can reuse is also more practical than another CD that gets boxed away. As long as they don't skimp on the artbook I'll be pretty content with this.

The USB looks pretty cool and is probably the only useful Video Game limited edition exclusive I can see people actually using on a daily basis.
Still the bundle is pretty lackluster for what it offers. :/
I wish there would had been a bundle with a model of a Skell (with perhaps an amiibo NFC in it.)

Of course as soon as I find out about this 4 hours later it's sold out already -_-. I'd be shocked if it doesn't become re-available again though or I might just pre-order it at Gamestop or something (I don't have Prime anyway). Kinda on the fence at the price, at $79.99 sure, $89.99 is pushing it for me anyway but I'd like to get it just to support it, especially since Nintendo doesn't do CE's very often.

I'm preorder in part because I know that Nintendo is going to release this in limited quantities.
Yeah, after about 8-10 failed attempts to add it to my cart when it is showing available giving up. If I can't get it in the morning off Amazon or pre-order it at my local Gamestop or Best Buy in the morning not bothering with this. Between Amiibos, how they're handling AC Home Designer, and a bunch of other stuff I've really really soured on how Nintendo handles a lot of their retail stuff over this past year. Which sucks because they're doing great stuff lately otherwise (ie Splatoon).
