Any chance of nabbing this at Nintendo World?
I think ya'll need to gain some perspective on what limited editions are. It doesn't matter how big a userbase you have or whatever, they'll always be limited. They're made to drive some attention to your product and they work. You want a limited edition shirt, toy or figurine? You probably have to go to a con or be put on a newsletter to know about it days in advance. You want this vinyl poster? Same deal.
You want this limited edition Batman collectors box that comes with the origins of Batman comic books, a figurine, t-shirt and a poster? You better be there the second it's available or it's gone due to limited quantities and it won't get restocked.
This is not just Nintendo thing, not just a Sony thing, not just a Microsoft thing, not just an EA thing, not just an Activision thing, not just Blizzard thing, not just an NCsoft thing, not just a game industry thing. There is a precedent in every industry. Hell, look at Disney or Star Wars merchandise. If you're a geek or a nerd that enjoys cartoons, Star Wars, Star Trek, toys, figurines, playing cards, board games, video games, vinyl records, and whatever else I'm missing, it's a thing that people have just accepted that they won't always get what they want either due to money or availability.
Just get over yourselves. You're not entitled to the limited edition, special edition or collectors edition. It always has been and always will be first come, first serve in every industry.

I don't think it has anything to do with self-importance or entitlement. People are ticked off that they didn't get an opportunity to purchase something they really wanted, and are complaining about it accordingly. Nothing more, nothing less.
When people are unhappy about something, they voice their displeasure, and people typically have a right to be unhappy about anything they so desire.
People are probably ticked at them making it limited in the first place, and they certainly have that right.
I got it, but I dont even really want it. Hell I dont even have a Wii-U
Forreal.. do not make sense. Either posing or just gonna sell it?...Then why did you pre-order it?![]()

So you just buy rare collectors editions for consoles you don't own for shits and giggles?
The people that buy the Special Editions and resell for overbloated prices do.
They do it to make money, the poster I quoted basically is saying I don't know why I bought it, just because.
Is this confirmed? Not really a big deal that Amazon is sold out; it will be available at other retailers. Personally I'm waiting for Best Buy.

It was up for hours and hours that first night on Amazon. Not sure what else they could have done. It was also during the stream from PAX they announced.
Anyone who is a fan would have known to watch. It was also detailed they would be revealing more about the games launch and LE in NA previously.
No developer/publisher announces exact times and dates for CEs. Just look at the Uncharted 4 ones earlier this week. Just came out. Even less notice than the Xenoblade one.
Is this confirmed?
If so where and when..
I wish nintendo would have said whether this is going up at best buy. I'll buy this special edition but I'm not giving up GCU pricing to do it, so I passed when I saw it on Amazon. It wasn't announced as Amazon exclusive, so chances are it will at least be up at Best Buy and Gamestop in the future.

For most people Amazon is just a placeholder until they can get their hands on a BB preorder.

Hour and hours? Lol, no, in less than 5 hours the pack was sold out. And that's not the problem since some people have works with different timetables so they can't physically search the web everyday, day and night. And what I was saying is that Nintendo should announce when they'll start to accept pre orders, with several days of advance, not the very same day or one day before, so everyone can learn about it.
I don't care about other games. If Nintendo is not the only company doing this then it's an industry problem also.
Any reason people want it specially from Best Buy?For most people Amazon is just a placeholder until they can get their hands on a BB preorder.

Ah....gotcha. My brother has that membership, so I guess I'll keep my eyes peeled. If I cancel my two Amazon orders, they don't instantly pop back in stock for others, do they? If I snag it on BB, I'll probably do the right thing and sell my 2 at stock price to some GAF members. To use the GCU discount if they have that membership (20% off)

Gamestop.com will not load for me, whose table do I need to flip
Finally I got it. Thanks.
I resell SEs and stuff like that. I have no shame and that's OK. There's a market for that and people are willing to pay for it.The people that buy the Special Editions and resell for overbloated prices do.
