Xenoblade X @ PAX - on 8/29 at 2:30 p.m. PT

Another, better pic from Nintendo Everything:

artbook is 100+ pages, it's not a poster but a matte card, and the usb key has 10 tracks (good thing I have my OST from japan :p)

Xenoblade was localized by NOE, had different themes and characters, and was getting a lot less attention/support. This why this is worrying.

That's the good thing about an RPG, you can choose to not use those costumes.
I can't understand why people would be happy about censorship...

congrats NA, you're getting a better Nintendo LE this time :)

Is it available in Amazon or Gamestop?

I LOVE the idea of a digital version of the OST on a usb. I don;t have a way to play CD's anymore, plus the usb looks cool. Hope more companies do this.

Doesn't really confirm anything, some of the armors are no worse than Cia's outfit in Hyrule Warriors and that was just let off with suggestive themes which XCX has in it's rating. With that said, I wouldn't mind if all they did was edit some of the more revealing outfits. I'd have an issue if they just outright removed them without putting anything in their place. At the end of the day they are all optional.

That's what I was wondering, if it would fall under something else. I wasn't sure.

Now I need, need, need that limited edition. Please hurry up Nintendo.

Hmmm, in the end, if the artbook is the same for both regions, I prefer the EU version.
The USB key is cool, but a map and steelbook are cool too.

I'm all for censoring Lyn's outfits.

Indeed, don't let the customer decide which costumes he wants to give his video game characters and which he doesn't want to give them. And bikinis are evil.

Better get rid of all the fun Toriyamal-esque costumes, it's not like unlocking additional costumes is one of the most motivating thing in this kind of games.

Sounds about right, yes.

No, it's not one of the most motivating things in these games.

Art card will be awesome to frame.

Wonder which size it will be. They chose one of the best art pieces to be on it, same for the artbook cover, looks great.

edit: I think the Steelbook will just be the regular cover without all the logos tbh.

For male protag:
Troy Baker
Johnny Yong Bosch
Yuri Lowenthall
Adam Howden
Liam O' Brien

For female protag:
Laura Bailey
Michelle Ruff
Jennifer Hale

I can dream, can't I? ;_;

Ugh please no. I'm fed up of hearing the same 5-10 voice actors in almost every big game, is the talent pool really that small? If I hear Troy Baker ever again it'll be too soon.

How was it rated in Japan?
This + 8-4 localizing it makes me fear more censorship than I hoped...

edit: (even if they're still good/great, not criticizing that, but them taking more liberties on the script those past few years and getting more associated with censored games than before too)
Did they finally confirm there will be dual dub btw?

That's not 8-4's call to make.

I know, but they can also argue about that (like XSEED does). And let's not say as if publishers were putting words in their mouth when they are localizing a game, and taking a lot more liberties over a script than other teams do.
Sorry about 8-4, but it's understandable to also put a bit of the blame on them when, since some years, they are linked to censored games, with memes and other weird script changes :/

edit just to be clear: 8-4 are awesome when they are taking the original script seriously and try to make the publisher understand that censorship isn't a good thing. Otherwise, it really can lead to some pretty cringeworthy dialogues.
I'm just hoping it's the former, since we won't really know anything until the game release.

If Nintendo (outside of Japan) thinks that having a 14 year-old girl running around almost naked is creepy and something they don't want to see in their games, then that is just what it is. I think it's kind of silly to assume that a small localization company like 8-4 has the power to change stuff like that, especially when working together with a major publisher. Everything they change in Xenoblade X is something that more than likely would have been changed by Treehouse as well.
