It's a great theme but my favourite track from the Xenoblade ost is You Will Know Our Names, nothing gets me as pumped as that theme.
I'm waiting until I get gaming PC to play this on Dolphin. I don't think the original Wii hardware would do it justice. Am I right or wrong?
You're not wrong...kinda. The thing is that Monolith Soft poured all they had into the game and pushed the Wii to it's fullest potnetial to make things work. There are some issues of course, like missing shadows or some texture mishandeling, but the sheer level of polish to the game makes those flaws ultimately irrelevant, and the proverbial 'justice', was done to great effect. Dolphin increases the resolution, but then all the game's flaws become so much more obvious, like the realitively lower detailed models. And don't get me started on HD texture packs, which by and large ruins the internal consistency of the art style and makes it all too sterile...
The point I'm trying to make is this; if you want to play on Dolphin, more power to you. But then you're really not playing Xenoblade as Monolith Soft ultimately executed it as, but as the hyper-modified version that brings down too much to prop up too little. The 'justice' you're looking for in this case is one that was decided and released, but deemed not good enough and needed improvement, and has sadly tarnished an incredibly beautiful game with the reputation that the hardware it was built for 'wasn't good enough.' But that's just me and my weird bias against modified emulation...
it's nice but it is no Gusty Garden Galaxy.

Engage the Enemy is pretty good, especially in context, but I think there are other tracks from last generation that I like better, like Still Alive from Portal, Hills of Radiant Winds from Nier, and Gusty Garden Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy. I also think Gaur Plain, Unfinished Battle, and Main Theme are better tracks from Xenoblade.
Opinions n' all that, but I disagree.
Nier, FFXIII, Mario Galaxy and a few other titles had much better tracks. Too many to list actually.
It's good, but it's no Go My Way from The iDOLM@STER, but that's one of the greatest songs of all time so it's a little unfair to compare the two.
Xenoblade is just a phenomenal game in almost every aspect.
Am I the only one who LOVES Prologue B?

it's one of the best, if not the best, of Xenoblade's musics
I started listening the OST after the japanese release, it's been 4.5 years already and I'm not tired of hearing it at all *-*
That's beside the point. We're talking about the single best track in any of last gen's OSTs, and the games I listed all have better examples than the one in the OP, imo.Yatōkiri_Kilgharrah;143119510 said:Nah. Their ost's are too similar. Xenoblade has diversity in spades.

It works best in context of pivotal scenes in the gameListened to it for the first time now. There didn't seem to be anything remarkable about it to be honest.
That was just a 12 track sampler though wasn't it.You could get the OST when you registered the game on EU club nintendo short after release IIRC. I also got it and still listen to it occasionally.
...Should probably post the best version of it.
While I like that track, I feel like the song that plays when you attack mini-bosses is the best of the soundtrack.

Xenoblade OST is incredible indeed. Best OST of the last generation, of that I am certain.
Still, can't really choose a song, I mean... it's impossible. Still, gotta show my undying love for Mechonis Field. So good.
How about this masterpiece: https://soundcloud.com/iyakku/xenoblade-chronicles-agni-ratha-imperial-capital-iyakku-remix
