Plus in the vide by the 10th minute you can see a flat screen PC monitor.
If this is a tech demo I'd get it, but as much as I wouldn't mind another Young Kiryu game, I worry that making a game after 5 starring Kiryu would be difficult.
He was thinking of Zero which takes place in 1988. We don't know anything about the story in Y6 right now. But if it's a continuation of Y5, then it should take place in 2016, as all previous Yakuza games took place in the year that they were released.

FOV seems a little too low (especially during interior exploration), but otherwise it's looking good. Nice improvement over the last ones.

I'm currently playing through Yakuza 4, and I am loving it. And then I'll go through 3 and 5. Then Zero, and then 1&2 on PS2 emulation.
Yakuza 0 is mainline. And I'm pretty sure Kiwami, is 1 and 2 remade.

Loving the look of the improvements on this game, can't wait to try this myself this week (fingers crossed my copy arrives by this point!). No load times, new combat and nice new graphics... now I just hope the arcade is packed with awesome Sega titles to play like 0...
Kiwami is only the first game remade, hopefully if it does well enough we get a remake of 2 in the same style.

Ah OK, wonder what Kiryu's up to this time. Seriously just make Haruka a playable fighter already. Give her gloves and a hoodie and boom she's ready to kick ass.

I like Kiryu's costume in that video. Even if not final, It's very SEGAish

-in fact, this demo's story is actually different from actual Yakuza 6
-Nagoshi wanted to dealy the demo for about a month, but he already promised the demo so they will release it on 28th
-The demo's quality will represent around 70% of the final game. The final game will look/feel better
-There are body parts specific heat actions and the connect naturally (all those zoom-ins during battle)
-There is no pre-rendered cutscenes in the demo. Everything is real-time. They didn't want to spend too much money making pre-rendered cutscenes for the demo.
-Once you start, there is no loading at all until the end of the demo.

I'm having a blast with Yakuza 4. I did play Yakuza 1 back when it released on PS2, but eventually stopped for no apparent reason. Then I totally fell off when the games weren't localized. Thankfully, I can now go back and at least enjoy Yakuza 0 to 5.
But will there be any loading in the full game? At least the load times are way shorter than the predecessors right?
That was a PS3 port.
Considering that there will be pre-rendered cutscenes in the full game, I expect some loading scenes on those.

(well, the first PS3/WiiU version was just an up-port with better resolution)Kiwami is a full on remake of the first game, with new content added in too so it's not just a graphics update.

Is Yakuza 0 gonna be the only game in the series available on PS4 in the west atm? And isn't that coming out in 2017? I wanna jump in to the series but that's a bummer of a wait.
We don't know for sure yet. I personally think it'll hit in 2016 (because that's what they said it was gonna be) but it might not.

that really dragged, just push yourself through it as fast as possible. Chapter 3 is much better with two characters. Chapter 4 has the all new character with entertaining things to do as well so it definitely picks up.

You should be able to get Dead Souls. DS and Y4 were added during PSX 2014 when Y5 was announced. Y3 hasn't been added as of now.

I don't think that it'll hit this year because they haven't said that it will. They specifically mentioned that Y5 would be released in 2015 when it was announced.

Yeah. I can only imagine that the translation team only started work on 0 when 5 was finished. And they were probably working on 5 way before it was announced.
