The chances of a PC version is almost zero. Not one Yakuza game did find the way on the PC.

Just recently got into these but what a strange order I'm going to be playing them in. Kiwami, zero, six and then two. Hopefully they remaster 3,4 and 5 to complete the set on ps4.

Awesome! Best Buy preorders aren't up yet, so preordered on Amazon until I see it in BB.
Porting 3-5 them to PS4 would be great not only for story purposes but because at least where I live, 3 and 4 are hard to come by and expensive for how old they are ($30~).

No Majima has its own chapters you play as. Its kinda a bonus.

Hang on, I'm sure Purgatory is in every Yakuza game from 1 to 4, even the PSP games. Kage has been in loads of them. I don't think you go there in Yakuza 5 or Yakuza 0 but I'm sure you do even in Dead Souls the zombie game.

I found this out yesterday when it was announced, and when I woke up today it was the first thing I thought about. That August 28th release date. It'll be the fastest turnaround time for release in the West in the series so far.

Now all that's left is a remaster of 3, 4 & 5 and I can finally buy and play 6!
Those game hopefully didn't age as badly as the first two, and all they need is some texture work, a couple of extras and improvements (ex: more side stories, the 4 fighting styles) and all the missing content in the western editions...

I know HyperBitHero used to post here and he and Gaming Brit got me a bit concerned about this remake. If it does indeed turn out to be shit, then I must also urge people to track down a copy of 2 and play it on the PS2. That game is a fucking masterpiece.

So awesome. But 50 bucks? Cmaaaan. You can literally get the overpriced out of print not even original blacklabel version on amazon for 45 (and I did like a year ago) so that seems a little steep.
But I'll let it slide seeing as 2 is where yakuza carved out a place for itself like a motherfucker in gaming. At the end I was squirming on the floor because of how many twists and reversals there were. Goda Ryu ftw!

Lol i remember owning the Original Yakuza 2 on the PS2 and forgot to actually finish it. I guess this is a great time for me to jump back into the series again.

The timing for a lot of this stuff, including when I got around to playing the first remake, aligns almost perfectly to ten years since I first got started with the franchise. Yakuza 2 might be a top five PS2 game for me, and that is really saying something. I guess December/January was Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami binge, and July/August will be Yakuza 6 and Yakuza Kiwami 2 binge. Still trying to wrap my head around Sega delaying Y6 to three days before God of War, that 20% PSN discount this week would have been nice.... Sega gonna Sega.
