I know it sounds strange, and it is, but I swear it's true. For some reason, my controllers wireless abilities are connected to being logged into PSN. At least for the past wee.

That happened to me today, controller started blinking and wonking out. Started after I tried logging into PSN to access the PS store.

Another weird thing I started noticing since about last week is when I connect online the entire system slows down to a crawl. I will hit a menu and the whole screen looks like it froze but then 5-10 seconds later it pops up and continues normally until I click X on something else.

It persists until I turn the system off and on, even if I pull the ethernet.
 
How long has this been going on? I was playing a session of Tekken 6 online just now, I finished playing, I exited the game, wanted to pop in to the Playstation Store to check out some new demos etc. and sure enough I got the 80710A06 error :/

looks like us Canadians are not even invincible to this

I'd say that's semi-normal. I've had that problem for months.
 
Strangely enough I am watching an episode of Arrested Development on Netflix right now, even though I couldn't Sign on to PSN, Netflix is working just fine!

At first I thought it was slowed down due to PSN getting hammered but it persists even after I log out and disconnect the internet completely.

So strange.
 
My friend was off work just tonight to play SOCOM 4 with me so our plans have been foiled...He's got a PT test at 5AM on Friday meaning he'll go to bed as soon as he gets home tomorrow and he'll probably sleep when he gets home from work on Friday so this ruined our one chance to play the game online since a storm slowed me down last night.

Usually it doesn't bug me, but it sucks when it's your one chance to play with a buddy after two very big PS3 games released on Tuesday (Portal 2 and SOCOM 4).
 
I've been out of commission for the past couple days (PS3, PSN, store.playstation.com, everything). Hopefully this isn't a long-term issue but the lack of transparency/clarity on Sony's part isn't making me optimistic.
 
I've had trouble signing into PSN for a week now. Thought I was just going crazy. Usually it takes a couple tries. Never the first.
 
yeh down in nz ..just got home for our work's GT session, can't log in.

i have noticed the past few days that when i turned my ps3 on ..it would fail at the 1st attempt of the auto login ..and i'd have to then go manually do it.




if this is the work of those fucking hackers ..... sony should track the fuckers down and jail them.
 
Glad to know that not logging into PSN as of first try recently isn't something to do with my personal home network.

Same here (EU PSN, germany) and the PS3 kept logging off periodically.

Fingers crossed for FFVII Remake.

So I'm not the only one having massive problems. Good to know. I could log in a total number of one time yesterday, in the afternoon (Swedish time). Then I got logged out, and couldn't get back in all night.

Gotta fight that Sony evil, brah! This is the ultimate way! Fuck over the consumers you were fighting for, yeah!

[edit] I have reviews I would very much like to get done before crashing hard. This is not exactly the best timing for things -- especially when the power cut out here while I was working on Portal 2.

I suppose it's smart timing for an attack, but this isn't fucking over Sony, it's messing with the consumers. Being all quiet about it this time doesn't exactly excuse the actions, but I suppose it's smart because nobody outside us basement dwellers are going to know the cause.
 
I want to play Portal 2 online (Steam-PS3). :(
 
I'm afraid to log out. I'm the only one left one right now on my list.
I think this has to do with the fact that thier web server has been in maintenance for 4 days straight. something is up and they need to take down PSN to fix it.
