Long story short. Some Christians believe that right before the end times God will beam all the true believers up to heaven leaving the dirty sinners to suffer while the anti-christ and satan take over the world.

Of course none of this is in the bible, but they still believe it.

Besides, it'd be like Kirk or Picard breaking the prime directive.
