you guys got everything covered but you forgot a cutie pie from this cult classic ....believe she was one of the princesses in Bill n Ted too.

Diane Franklin was so adorable.

Fun thread, really!
Anyway, when i was like 7 i had a HUGE crush on Athena/Saori Kido/Lady Isabel (as she was called in Italy)...
Frankly i'm a little sad to see i was apparently the only one around here madly attracted to her... :(

Also, I'm annoyed at the serious lack of April O'Neil up in this piece. She triggered my love of redheads at the tender age of 7:

I stopped watching Turtles waaaaay before I realized I had a penis. However, I did develop a red-head crush from Meryl Silverburgh still remains today.

I saw her in a movie called Seven Minutes in Heaven and I was hooked. Crush solidified in Labyrinth and Rocketeer. Also Gabrielle from Xena and if we're including cartoon characters I'll say Gadget from Rescue Rangers.

I think I'm the only hetero guy who didn't have a thing for the Pink Ranger. I always found her kinda plain and uninteresting.

I had a lot back in the day but these had to have been the biggest two....

And if I had known back then Rudy would have grown into this......

There it is. First time I can remember as a kid being in love with someone. Unrequited of course, but still. That's when I knew I was growing up.
Really?

She's not even hot.

Why not? I sure didn't.
...and?

It's completely normal for kids to think of cartoon characters as real people and thus get a crush on the ones they like.

I've never encountered so many people new to this before.

I'm new to that theory.

There's like this Gadget cult out there who worships her. But it's okay, cause we all had a crush on Gadget.

Marie Soleil Tougas. She was a Quebec children/teen show host, comedian and activist.

When she did in a plane crash in 97, I wasn't as much into her, but was still completely shattered. My heart broke.

Guilty. I like a girl who's good with her hands.... or in this case claws? Okay, this is just getting weird. I'm out.

Lacey Chabert as Penny Robinson in Lost In Space (1998)
- Yes, as a kid I ignored Heather Graham in the film entirely and was all for Penny instead. Go figure (I believe I might be alone in this childhood crush, but whatever).

First woman I thought of before entering the thread. High five! I just remember being mesmerised in the cinema, I was 12 at the time.

Classic April O'Neil
90s Cartoon Rogue
MMPR Kimberly Hart
Both Winona Rider Lydia Deetz and Cartoon Lydia Deetz
Teri Hatcher Lois Lane >.>

It's something I can never understand.
Maybe it's generational, there was only a handful of really good cartoons when I was a kid so I was never under any confusion as to whether the characters were real or not, and the only ones that were remotely attractive was Minmai from Macross and Princess from Battle of the Planets. Now with kids growing up being bombarded by sexy Sailor Moon cartoons and CGI shows it could be different.

Jennifer Love Hewitt. My crush transformed turned into full-on lust once I saw Heartbreakers.

God-tier.

Oh and you people who crushed on cartoons are fucking weird.

Nah seems weird to me. Guess I wasn't prone to succumbing to the sexualisation of cartoon characters and such.

I didn't mean they were actually confused as to whether they were real or not, I just meant that their being fictional and drawings matters little to kids, they'll treat them as real characters and feel for them accordingly.

I admit that pre 80's, cartoon characters kids might find attractive were scarce, and even then the 90's was really were it took off, but any person in their 20's probably had a crush on a non-real character as a young kid.

You seriously never heard of people finding someone like Jessica Rabbit attractive as children?

I seriously can't believe I'm finding it weird that people DIDN'T have any thing for a non-live action character as a kid. What you like as a kid is COMPLETELY different from even as a teenager.

I mean, I liked Rogue as a kid, but I was 6 years old and I obviously liked plenty of real life people too. By the time I was 11 or 12, it was all about WWF women or something along those lines. By my adult years now it's something totally different again

Sexualisation, right.

I still thought girls at cooties at age 5, dude, never mind sex. I just thought Rogue was cute.

You can't believe you find it weird? Is this some inner-monologue kind of thing?
