I'll take California douchebags over New England douchebags any day of the week.

East coast also has Florida, also know as God's Dead Zone.

Fun fact: East Coast really only means DC-Boston, we don't claim the rest.

Funner fact: DC-Boston really just means anything an hour's drive from Manhattan.

Kendrick Lamar is one of the last dying breed of hip hop artists that represents the art form.

what? since when is Kendrick a bastion for true MCing? he's about one peg above Drake. Kendrick has a nice flow and some good songs, but he is hardly doing anything new or different. if he's the last of a dying breed then let it die. because there's plenty of newer hiphop artist doing much more interesting work for the art form. either you don't listen to enough hiphop or your listening to too much Kendrick and not enough of what else is out there.

I think Waffle House is one of the most disgusting eating establishments in America. Never in life has my body reacted so negatively to food offered by any restaurant but their's. Now, I absolutely love a good old fashion well prepared breakfast with bacon, eggs, hash browns, biscuits, and so on; my wife, in fact, makes a damn good breakfast. I've eaten at many breakfast based establishments, anything from run down mom and pop shops to major national chains and yet I find myself more willing to eat a pancake who's batter has been run through a 30 year old catalytic converter prior to cooking than ever dine at a Waffle House again.

Superior beer, beaches, climate, people and environment.

You guys have food locked down though (Outside of Mexican)

Florida Beaches are by far cleaner and more diverse than beaches in California.

I guess one thing we can all agree on is anywhere is better than the Midwest, Daniel Tosh said it best, the Midwest is where people who gave up on their dreams go to live.

Then you need to refine your final option that people shouldn't tell others what to do.

From a utilitarian perspective it may well be the case that Option A is superior to Option B when your major criteria is "Criteria X", but what if that's not the most important to you? Let's say, as a perfect logician, you decide that Amy should be a doctor because she's smart and good with scalpals, Brian should be a roadsweeper because he's not too smart but a hard worker and Catherine should be a Shopkeeper because she's friendly and has a good eye for trends. You've used your logic to work out the ideal job for these people - your ruling is made with logic and reasoning and is therefore "OK". But what if, shock of shocks, Brian doesn't want to be a roadsweeper? What if he wants to be a shopkeeper, like Catherine? He might not be ideal for it, but he thinks he could make a good punt at it. But this wouldn't be "useful to anyone", so Brian's belief's are "bad". In this case, "Criteria X" is economic and human efficiency, but that's probably not Brian's main criterial; his will be his own, personal happiness. So what - "logically" - is the main criteria you chase here? What if Catherine decides she wants to be a roadsweeper? She'd probably be a very good one, though she'd be wasting huge amounts of potential.

This is why what you said is contradictory - if you were the Lord Dictator, using logic and reason to decide what's going down, would you allow Brian to struggle and very possibly fail to become a shopkeeper, or would you force him to be a roadsweeper? If you choose the former then your Dictator schtick is wrong, and if you choose the latter your "not telling others what to do" thing is wrong.

But you're missing the key point that not telling others what to do is directed only at religion and various beliefs that give people a sense of holier than thou. From that scenario, I would enforce the latter, because it is a matter of what is best for the majority. Basically if it's for the greater good of all, then taking away liberties of free choice is fine by me. But if it was for a cause that didn't benefit all, that didn't improve living standard in the case of religious causes, then I'm not fine with it.

That being said, I'm not an athiest, and I'm happy that so many people are made happy through religion. But in the echelon of things, I consider the person who obeys the rules of logic to be far above the person who makes the rules of religion. As such, religion gets a double standard in my eyes. That what you view as contradictory from me, I view as not being in the same league, and such cannot contend or contradict.
It's ok to tell people what to do, but not if it's for bogus things like religion that we won't figure out if it's real until we all die. I focus on the here and now, not what may come in another life.

Name me one Dictator that has not focused on the expansion of there personal bank account and welling being at the expense of everyone else.
There hasn't been one. I believe in the system though, and hope that one day somebody worthy of the power of a dictator will come along.

Far too often people look for something/someone to blame their problems on instead of working towards a solution. The majority of people are not willing to work hard in order to solve their problems.

Also, I never believe someone when they say a fast food is gross. Fast food tastes amazing. These companies have spent millions upon millions of dollars to make it taste as good as possible.

The style of criticism you often see online where the critic nitpicks every little individual line and plot point from a film or other work is the laziest possible form of criticism and says approximately nothing about whether something is actually good or not.

Well, I certainly think you've matched the criteria of "controversial". I must admit, I find it slightly batty that you refer to religion as "bogus" whilst not being an atheist, but hey ho. I pray to god we never have to experience your natty, freedomless, Maoist top-down organisation of society to produce the most efficient results (in the pursuit of mysterious and undefined ends).

All dogs are awesome, but I find small dogs to be so, so much better as pets than larger dogs. They eat less, poop less, live more, can live indoors (IMO this makes a huge difference), lots of smaller breeds have been bred to be companion dogs which combined with their size make them exponentially less likely to kill or injure anyone, and are cuter on top of that. But as with anything, people develop stupid opinions about size, and in this particular case small dogs being called non-dogs or dogs inappropriate for men - that's insanely dumb. You don't get to decide what's biologically a dog or what isn't based on your prejudice and insecurities. When you adopt a dog you're making a friend, and his/her role is not to make you look badass.

McDonalds is famous for getting worse over time. The administration of lower quality ingredients to cut costs.

tl;dr - The American Dream is mostly dead.

If the American dream were easy, it wouldn't be a dream. Few find massive success from a destitute upbringing because if it happened to more people, it wouldn't be a "massive success" anymore. Our definition of "success" and "massive" necessarily change with the data, because that's how language works.

Expecting everyone, or even a majority, to achieve the "American Dream" as portrayed in the media is unrealistic. It's supposed to be difficult.

People who vote habitually for Democrats and Republicans in every election forfeit their right to complain about problems in the USA. The constant excuses for why voting outside of D/R is a waste, or that a third party can never win, are tiresome. People have the freedom to elect individuals outside of the two parties, but they choose not to because familiarity is comfort. Stop blaming "the system" or "the other party" for the corruption in DC - you voted for it. Stop blaming X politician or Y voter because the wrong person won and the other candidate was so much better. Blame yourself for supporting the two-party monopoly, then vote for real change.

people who hate an anime/movie because it doesn't follow the manga/book should just continue to stick with the manga/book.

dreams are us experiencing ourselves in another life

I like you, a lot.

here it goes:

I can't feel that much sympathy for people going into internet forums crying desperately for compassion and claiming they are in the most severe depression all while, (upon checking their history), they eat, sleep, go to movies, buy and play videogames and live pretty standard, normal lives. It's pretty disrespectful for people with actual depression, if you ask me.

Film Crit Hulk is pretty bad and I cringe whenever people post his articles. He might only be worth listening to if dropped the annoying gimmick.

The constant rebooting and focus on old IPs( such as Batman) in the Entertainment Industry is stagnating it. Children should not be growing up with the same shows and movies their parents did, over and over. There can only be so much blood in the stone.

Rm, what kind of dog do you have? Also, would corgis be considered small or large dogs?

Damn dude, sounds like you want a cat. The argument you made is basically a cats vs dogs.
