But Demon's/Dark Souls and Bloodborne have two very distinct settings. Medieval fantasy =/= Victorian Gothic...which one do you mean?

The trenches, the mud, the no man's land. Dreary mining towns, bombed out cities. Chemical weapons.
But if it's space than it's gotta have guns for sure. And not those iffy ones from Bloodborne. I'm talking Lasers and shit.

Doing just fine without them in Bloodborne.
Saying that guns can be the only means of combat is extremely limiting the nature and imagination of a science fiction setting.
There are bows in Souls, so...
