Imo the Turrican 2 screen is one the best things ever, it's at the same time a menu, a tutorial and a credit roll, with one of the most awesome music themes of the vg history.

A big favorite of mine is the Dead Space 2 menu.

I especially love how the chunks of floating rocks assemble into a marker by the end of the game.

It's worth it. Don't let people tell you Reach is bad. The multiplayer may not be near as good as the others, but the campaign is very good.

Play them in order though (meaning don't play Reach first despite it being a prequel), starting with CE.

On the flip side, my arch enemy is the Hard Reset loading screen. it was badass, but the 10 second animations between every menu option got annoying real fast.

Thankfully, there's an option to disable the animations.

The music that played in the background of Gundam Battle Assault 2 coupled with the animation running in the background BLEW MY MIND in middle school.

Valkyria Chronicles was a breathtaking game and even its menus shined with incredible polish and design. So impressive.

The menu in Uncharted 2 had some of the coolest sound effects I Have ever heard in a menu. I remember flipping through the menu and looking at the treasures just to hear the sound effects play again.
