I don't know how you can hate such a funny guy, i'm smiling just by looking at him lol. It's funny, those portraits are among the main reasons I don't want to touch the Might & Magic games from that specific era. They look jarringly anachronistic to me.
Especially this naked asshole:

Also he makes me think of him

It's Lucky Strike not Star... like the cigarette brand (and she has a Katana for... striking), but yea people loved her even when she was nothing more than a portrait and stats... before she got fleshed out in the director's cut (probably because people loved the look and idea so much. Good pick.
[The rigger "Justin Case", not an awesome portrait, but man, some cool names in that game]
classic high templar

I was obsessed with the portraits in Disciples: Sacred Lands. They were a really unique combination of western and Japanese aesthetics and I haven't seen similar art since anywhere...
There are no high quality versions available that I know.

HOLY COW! WHAT HAPPENED?
(from Kirby Super Star)
Not sure about favorite, but I was shocked by how good EviLore's avatar turned out in Pillars of Eternity.

Is it possible to fall in love with an artwork?
Cause I think I just did.
All portraits in Baldur's gate 2 is amazing.
I love the dialogue portraits in Grandia.

Think my fave is Rapp
![]()
Plus any Arle portraits from early Puyo Puyo series.
![]()
I like you :3
Justin's and Rapp's are especially great.
Also, this is one of the few games where they even bothered to give the side characters unique portraits.

And these are just a few, there are so many more
Same.I actually looked at it and thought it looked wrong but it was getting late and I got lazy. Thanks for picking that up.
I didn't realise Lucky Strike was a fan favourite. All I know is that the developers had her in all three Shadowrun games recently either as for hire or occasional NPC for world building but it was pretty memorable overall. I was smiling when I ran into her in Hong Kong and she spoke about her team back in Berlin.
It's the studio lighting and the '90s hair.I don't know how you can hate such a funny guy, i'm smiling just by looking at him lol.
Also he makes me think of him

What game is that from? You mean this guy?

That's also part of the charm for me, not everything has to be cool or up to date, especially if it's not meant to be serious. It's the studio lighting and the '90s hair.
I wish I could see a Robin Hood in him, to me it looks like he escaped from the set of the Black Or White music video.
