Your favorite OBSCURE Nintendo villains?

Always liked Leon from Team Starwolf (Starfox 64), the chameleon fellow who shouts "I AM THE GREAT LEON!!"

Don't think he's been in any other games :(

Not sure how obscure he is, but Wart from Doki Doki Panic/Mario 2.

I'd love to see them bring him back in another Mario, even though he wasn't really a Mario character to begin with.

:(

I don't think he'll ever return.

Also, I don't know how "obscure" he is but I love LOVE Fawful. He gives me chortles.

Probably could put a shout out to all the Star Wolf team members across the series, especially Pigma, guy is straight up scum.

Pretty much every villain from the Paper Mario series comes to mind. Corrupt wrestling bosses, skeletal pirates, moon-base leaders, shape shifting ghosts... really, everything is pretty memorable.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (and PoR, technically) Spoilers:
Sephrian.
In retrospect, it should have been obvious since it's pretty cliche, but I never really saw it coming.

Is there even such a thing??? there is nothing in the nintendo universe wich look anything close to being obscure. lol Look at all those pictures that were posted....

He was in SF Assault & Command.

Yeah, Leon's the only permanent member of the Star Wolf team besides Star Wolf himself, and is easily my favorite Star Fox character.

No doubt he'll be back in Star Fox U.

Obscure as in not Bowser/Ganon/King K. Rool/Ridley/pokemon villains/etc.

Villains that first don't come to mind when you think Nintendo villains.

But anyway, if we talk about Paper Mario 2, we must talk about Doopliss!

He's so cute.

I love how he's just chilling and watching TV when you first meet him. He then pulls one of the craziest stunts in the Mario RPG series. Plus he has a catchy boss music.

Well, he's in Star Fox Assault and Star Fox Command.

EDIT: I was beat. Now I must hurry up and think of an obscure enemy so no one sees my failure!

There's so many I want to mention that've already been covered! Hades, Wart, Captain Syrup, Lambo, and Gigyas... They're probably my Top 5 obscure Nintendo antagonists, but have already been covered (And I don't quite know if Hades is too obscure, just new).

Uh... Does Mr. Sandman count? He's not a villain, but being the Champ in 2 different Punch-Out!! games, plus being the penultimate fighter to Mike Tyson himself in the NES one, makes him the closest thing to a primary antagonist the series has. He's huge, he's intimidating, and unlike how other boxers cheat (All of them for their rematches in the Wii game, and even Mac has his Star Punches), his "gimmick" is that he's just really good at boxing. He's not a villain in the least, but he's without-a-doubt one of Nintendo's best antagonists.

Honorable mention to Black Shadow, King K. Rool, and the Plasm Wraith, although again, it might be hard to call the last one a "villain." Black Shadow meets most Sentai villain tropes, and K. Rool tried destroying DK Island solely out of spite, but the last just feels like it shouldn't be judged by basic morality; it's just too alien, and maybe a bit child-like. Maybe Ridley, too, depending on if Metroid does or doesn't get a new game coming up here.

His theme is awesome, it's my favorite music from PM2 ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvug9_xljlY ) !

Gargan - Harmoknight

Oh and I didn't say it earlier but this guy has a totally rad design btw. I didn't play HarmoKnight, well just the demo in fact, but I was really bad at it lol.

Oh my, if only...
I would do bad things to play as Hades in Smash.

Agreed, Palutena is good and all but I think Hades deserved this character slot. What's more frustrating is that he's reduced to a mere trophy, not even an intervention in palutena guidance, in the Kid Icarus stage or as a Assist trophy. Strange with all the Kid Icarus BIAS from Sakurai...

(but also promissing for a future DLC...)

Everyone from Mario Land 1 and 2. Loved those games to death and they were just so damn weird. Kinda bummed Nintendo ignores that weird little universe doesnt exist.

NINTENDO MAKE A LEGIT MARIO LAND 3!
No, Wario and 3D Land dont count

I feel the same as you!
I'm SO frustrated that he doesn't even appear in Palutena's Guidance. I mean, Viridi is there and NO HADES!? Urgh.

Not sure if he's necessarily a "villain," but I always loved Blind the Thief from A Link to the Past.

Definitely didn't see the whole "The maiden is the boss!" twist coming (though it's kinda glaring in retrospect), and he's the only enemy in the whole game that seems like more than a mindless monster, other than Ganon and Agahnim of course. Fun fight, too, with the heads flying around.

Probably because of his chant, right?

None of the temple bosses in Majora's Mask are actually villains though, because they're just gods of their particular temples corrupted by Majora's Mask. Their intentions weren't evil. The skull kid and the mask he acquired were the villains.

Zephiel from Fire Emblem 6 - what a fucking badass and his theme/boss theme is incredible. Especially because
at that point in the game, Roy (for me) was the only one who can hurt him reliably, making that 1v1 the coolest thing I've seen in an FE game.

More badass than Nergal and the Black Knight combined.

Kind of obscure, since he's portrayed as an enigma in-game:

The original Sturm. Better known as Strum, King of Snifits.

I wish they'd bring back Tatanga from Super Mario Land.

Tatanga.GIF

I once had a Mario comic where Tatanga used a Game Boy to control the mind of a middle-aged man going through a mid-life crisis and forced the man to open a portal allowing all of the enemies from Super Mario Land to invade the real world.

Tatanga was the first one that jumped to mind for me.

Yes he needs to make a comeback. The fact that Mario spent two entire games in space without him making an appareance, plus another game reviving the "Land" submtitle and still no Tatanga is just a damn shame.

Tatanga is the true answer. Also everything about the "Land"-series. Has somebody at Nintendo a grudge against those games?

"Cocky little freak!"

So many great bosses on this game. Can't wait for the WiiU version! Also 'Pigma' telling fox how his daddy died was pretty dark too. Forgot how good the voice acting was in this game. Fox was always pretty standard though... -.-
