Your go-to comfort show to watch

Archer and DBZ Abridged are my go-tos. I just gravitate towards something light and funny when I need something to watch without any effort.

Gintama, early simpsons, Monkey.

Ooh forgot storage wars, thats my "ive got a fever and i cant pay attention" background show

Archer and NCIS. I tried Law & Order SVU, but there's so many of those I haven't seen to where I end up focusing in on it too much. Nor is there much about that show that I'd label as comforting.

I'm probably more of a background movie guy than with shows. Shawshank Redemption and Black Hawk Down are pretty high up there.

These days, Brooklyn Nine Nine. Rick and Morty a close second.

Over the years I've had some. Friends, X-Files, Community, Futurama. We're talking about shows you can rewatch (and DO rewatch) over and over again when you dont want to do anything else or are feeling down right?

I can watch old episodes of these any time:
Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee
Clarkson Top Gear
any James May program
Grand Designs
American Experience
Jeeves and Wooster
Poirot

Every couple of years, I rewatch From the Earth to the Moon, Band of Brothers, and the Pacific.

Every single night I fall asleep watching 2 or 3 episodes of The Simpsons, King Of The Hill, Bob's Burgers or American Dad that I've seen 100 times before

Steptoe and Son
Last of the Summer Wine *cough* (The earlier the series the better.)
Porridge
Only Fools and Horses (Again, the earlier the series the better.)
Red Dwarf (Any BBC broadcast episodes where Rimmer is a regular occurring character.)
Open All Hours
Horizon
The Sky at Night
The Simpsons (Up to whichever series was considered the last of the classics. 9?)
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
Rugrats (First few series)
Dinnerladies (+ Just about anything else by Victoria Wood)

Comfort films:
12 Angry Men
To Kill a Mockingbird
The Godfather
Goodfellas
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy (original)
Shawshank Redemption

Spot the odd the one out xD What can I say? It's a guilty pleasure, one which I hope I never tire of.

After the election was called, I had to watch Parks and Rec to center and pull myself out of depression.

Really, it's just the happiest and most feel good show I've ever seen.

The Great British Baking Show. Or the whole NHK channel.

!

Tokyo Eye
Great Gear
Cool Japan
At Home with Venetia in Kyoto
Any one of their food/cooking and tourism related shows

Those were (maybe they still are but I haven't seen tuned into NHK World in ages) shows on NHK World.

Red Dwarf - No matter how down I am or how my situation in life is not so great, I watch Red Dwarf. 3 million years in deep space with only a hologram, a senile computer and a life form evolved from cats as company. Also the last human being alive for that matter....
