Your most cringe-inducing movie scene.

Sometimes bad special effects can really take you out of a film's immersion and could be bad enough to ruin the rest of the movie for you.

Not that Alien Resurrection doesn't ruin itself throughout the film, but this scene just fucking destroyed all patience I had while watching that movie... I swear I was like this in the theater when I saw that...

As if one of the film crew got his 12 year old kid to add that acid spit effect the last minute using MS paint or something, just terrible!

Most recently Dogtooth... a dumbell does not belong in the bathroom.

And an even worse offense... Sophia Coppola speech at the beginning of Godfather Part III

The Eastern Promises fight scene is both awesome and totally cringe worthy at the same time. When he jams that knife in his eye....holy shit.

The scene in Frozen with the main girl's boyfriend and the wolves. Actually, anything with that specific sort of injury is pretty foul.

So fellow GAFer's. What is the oné scene that is the most cringe-inducing for you? A scene that actually made it feel quite hard to watch.
I am not talking about HOSTEL rated gore scenes because honestly those kind of scenes are just damn stupid. In fact, I encourage anyone to not post that kind of scenes.

Here is mine from Saving Private Ryan (knife scene):

I can watch the entire movie over and over again but that scene always makes me feel terrible for as long as it lasts.

This was actually the first thing I thought of before even entering the thread.

Not cringe-inducing in the strictest sense...

But the Dark Knight ferry scene is cringe-inducing in how bad it is.

I actually thought the same when I first saw the film, but everyone was falling over themselves to praise TDK that I was painted as a lunatic. I completely agree though, the entire scene was overblown, elaborate, just silly.

A crap final act balanced out by a fantastic first act.

Recently watched Breakfast at Tiffany's and so my answer is anything with Mickey Rooney in it.

Yep, that's him. Yep, he sounds like you think he does.

it's amazing some of the things removed from the book, like "nigger-lipping" a cigarette or references to lesbians, yet they do that with that character.

Interesting. I am admittedly completely ignorant about the book (was even blown back when I saw who wrote it) and so, the entire time, I was wondering if Rooney's character was a part of the book or if he was inserted by Hollywood for comic relief.

Chock it up as a victim of the times, I guess, but it made me cringe regardless.

One of the worst moments in a trilogy filled with numerous instances of cringeworthy moments that would have Tolkien turning in his grave.

Never understood why people got to upset over Hebrew Hammer getting stabbed in SPR, does nothing to me. There was some fingernail stuff in Syriana that I remember being pretty bad.

1) HOSTEL is not as gory as you sensitives imagine it to be.

2) Your opinion about those alleged scenes is just damn stupid.

Saving Private Ryan is the correct answer. Find myself avoiding that movie just so I don't feel my skin crawl and nausea rise as that scene unfolds.

Iron Man 2

He's going to 'make' a new element? With a blueprint?! Well, at least he's using a particle acceler- crap that's just a laser, all writers failed science class.

Because the rest of the science in Iron Man is so compelling.

On Topic.

The Gun shopping sequence in Harry Brown is horrific, as is the whole movie. I know it´s intentional but it doesn´t work for me at all. Just plain unplesant to watch.

Also, the motivational speech in Snow White and the Huntsman. It´s such a mess it´s not even funny.
