Sure is, I remember an afterburner clone on it, blue thunder I think.
The battery life was terrible but such a fantastic unit. Xybots was great too.
I always imagine myself trawling car boot sales looking for PS3 and xbox games when my kids leave home and I retire.

Oh man, Lyons is awesome! I do a pinball podcast and we were pumping that place up last month. I'm planning on coming out to the Rocky Mountain Pinball Showdown again this year. Have you been to that? That's a fun show.

But it's probably not even 1/4 of my collection. I have a bunch more in my garage, some at my parent's home, and some at my friends' homes. It's a disease, I tell ya!
I also have stacks of boxes of boxed games (not all pictured). I also have all the NA released AES carts too (not all pictured).
I guess it's not all exotic, but taken as a whole it's pretty rare to find it all together.
The problem with a collection like this--especially the arcade cabinets--is that the nostalgia over-load makes me want to quit my job, leave my family, and do nothing but play games until they pull my rotting corpse from the depths of my house...

Man, that Atari Lynx brought back a lot of memories. I'm still bummed that mine mysteriously vanished one day.
Outside of the Lynx, I didn't have any exotic gaming possessions. We didn't have much money, so my gaming library was small. I don't even remember where/who I got my Atari Lynx from. Maybe a garage sale or a family member that didn't want it.

I still have my functional Lynx 1 and it's box, though the box now holds a few dozen geneis game manuals.
My C-64 and its 1541 drive is still packed away and functional, along with a daisy-wheel printer (for some reason). Still have a bunch of those games, some with boxes, some without.
The "packed away" nature of the collection keeps it from being something I can show off.

I got lucky.
After 37 years, the last arcade in my area was closing. I talked to the owner and worked out a great deal for it. It's in immaculate condition.
I spent a lot of time in that arcade growing up. <3

I lucked out. My friend's dad owned a video rental store from the '80s through around 2002. He basically bought every video game ever, and then when they were no longer popular he'd put them back in the box and seal them away. Somehow he thought that having the only place in town with AES carts that it would make his store distinguishable, but the system never took off. He stuck with it though, and got the full run. I managed to get them years ago, along with stacks of boxes of other games. I offered a fair price, but he said he'd already made his money on them over the years and basically gave them to me for a song and dance.

Yes, but what kind of dance? Just kidding, it seems indeed fortune did smile upon you. Do you play your carts often or are you afraid of those pesky insertion marks?
I don't play them. I have a couple of candy cabs with MVS systems in them, one even with a functioning save slot, and I use those.

Actually yes, I'm planning to go! I started going to tournaments at the !up bar in Denver about 2 months ago and I've been going weekly. I suck but it's been great and I'm meeting tons of great people. My world ranking is 6200 lol. What's your podcast?
It's simply called, "The Pinball Podcast." We've only been doing it for 3 months, and it's a monthly show. It's still finding its feet, but people downloading it in surprising numbers.

I have both white (Japan exclusive, ultra rare) and blue (some parts of Europe exclusive) original Game Boys.
I don't know about "prized" but I have a special set of MK Arcade ROMS Midway burned me that takes you to battle in the pit every time.
Mine:
Only 50 exist. One of the most rare PS1 items out there.
With the gold memory card, to boot. LESS than 50 had the complete gold set with the gold memory card. I don't remember the exact numbers but it was something like 35 that had the full gold set due to problems with the quality/consistency of the gold electroplating on the memory cards. The rest had red cards to match the red button on the gun.

Very nice. The only thing I'd swap out is Bride of Pinbot for a Jackbot. BoP is really shallow - it's a one-shot rape-the-ramp game where the 1 Billion scoring ruins it. Jackbot takes everything great about Pinbot and makes it 100x better, especially with the pavlovian "cheat" button pressing. Easily the best in the series.
I'm really thinking hard about adding an AC/DC game. First Stern since Spiderman I would actually put money out for.

Pinball ain't cheap, especially for the desirable games. That pinball lineup in the pic alone is over $25k.
Sure you can get a beater and fix it up, but it's getting harder and harder to FIND a desirable fixer-upper now that we're well over 10 years since Williams/Bally stopped making pins and we got stuck with Stern.

I've got some games, Donkey Kong and some other Game & Watches etc. from this topic, but I can't name my most prized exotic one. I don't have much, eventhough I have a shitload of rare-ish games and accessories, but I'll say my awesome SMB gymbag and MSX2 with Salamander & Circus Charlie (I really should get them from my apartment houses attic and put them to better place but don't have the room).

Twilight Zone and Addams Family, be still my heart. Someday I dream of owning those two plus a Theatre of Magic. Prices just seem to be going up, though... I worry they'll be far out of my reach by the time I can afford them.

I've been trying to think of a good answer for this, and I think I have one. My wife made me three paintings for Christmas in 2010. They're really simple, and just have the nose & mustache of Mario, Luigi, and Wario. I'll put up pictures tonight when I get home. They're seriously awesome.

Okay, here's some game-related swag that's pretty rare.
I love Pepsiman. Here's some of the stuff I have. Not shown is a complete collection of the Pepsiman Pepsi action caps, Pepsiman lighter, Pepsicola scented brown pepsiman, etc...
These two Ghaleons are the prototypes. The one on the right is the doll that I rejected on the way to settling on a punching puppet. The one on the left is the hand-painted master prototype Ghaleon that was the model for the mass manufactured one. The paint is more pearl than the ones that were sent to stores.
This is a prototype Sophia III plush for Blaster Master Overdrive contest that never happened when Sunsoft inexplicably pulled back from our relaunch in the US. Only one of these "final" prototypes exist. This is prototype 2. Prototype 1 is embarrassingly bad. There's also a plush I rejected of the Blaster Master suit.
This is a rare plush from Silhouette Mirage's Japanese release. Very few of these were made - less than 50 for sure, but maybe less than 25. ESP found them too expensive to manufacture past the sample stage. I have 5 of them and the matching Pumpkin plushes that are packed away. Crazy cool detailing on this plush. For one, the mask on the face of these comes off, revealing a black skeleton face.
Edit: How could I forget the Nall plush! I have some of those, but no pic, sorry!
