Buying a PS5 and a gaming laptop (likely whatever Razer comes out with next year), no Game Pass. If Nintendo announces an upgraded Switch then I'll get that as well.

Series X. then if it doesnt suppirt VR i will upgrade my pc as well.

Not sold on ps5 yet. i cant stand Sony first party games, as they are mostly carbon copies of each other and MLB the Show is no longer exclusive

Both for me, but not at launch. Don't want to be a BETA tester or having to deal with the warranty. I have plenty of quality games left on my PS4 Pro to play. I'll pick up both the XSX and PS5 6 months to 12 months from launch after all the major hardware issues, if any, are fixed.

I will buy the Series X first, my pc is 10 years old now...
So the box is the cheaper option for game pass. Will get the Playstation 5 later down the road, when more exclusives are available.

Buy PS5, after that a upper end Dolby Atmos Surrounded sound.
Klipsch Bar 54 dolby atmos system that comes out later this year is what I have my eyes on.
This gen I think its best to upgrade the TV, I have a Sony 65" 930e but it only has hdmi 2.0 (great picture quality).
My wallet is going to be hurting lol.

Xbox. Halo MCC, SSX3, Perfect Dark, etc. too many good games to give up that I still love and have a ton of sentimental value for.

I also don't want to hear about limited PS5 BC at the beginning of gen 10. MS chooses to care about backwards and forwards compatibility and I very much appreciate that.

To me, it is a priceless feature

I will be getting a PS5 of course. I was planning on getting an XsX but, after watching the Halo infinite unveiling it is clear to me that Phil Spencer is all talk and no substance, he should start a talk show where he would be talking for hours on end and he would have guests where he tries to bullshit them into buying MS products and subscriptions to services, Timdog, dealer and the like would be dressed as cheerleaders within the public.

PS5 for sure, and with the news of everything that comes with the Xbox Game Pass, I think that'll be enough for me!

I am considering to get a decent rig and a PS5. Probably PS5 slim, Pro? as I have no plan to get either anytime soon.

My next-gen will have to wait for mid 2021 most likely. I guess I'll decide then based on what games are out, but most likely it will be a ps5 (xsx some time later).
My House is being sold and the new house is nowhere near ready, so I'll have to live in temporary housing with 4g Internet with 3gb cap. It's pointless to get a console without internet nowadays.

Yes... Ghost of Tsushima plays just like Concrete Genie, that is just a clone of God of War, that is just a re-skin of Dreams, that is a Beta of TLOU2 that is just Bloodborne 2.0 that is just the horror version of LittleBigPlanet.
You are absolutely right and you are not a troll at all.

I might consider buying if PS5 can support my PS4 physical games out of the box . Otherwise I will just keep my PS4 pro

Without gameplay trailers to try to convince me of fable, hellblade and avow. Why would I subscribe on pc? Once these games released we will see, and when is that ? 2+ years from seriesX launch. Besides, I live in the middle east so gamepass is not available to me right now. :messenger_ghost:

TO be fair to them, I agree.

I own every Sony First Party and I enjoy them TLOU2 being the biggest disappointment but they do all come very close to each other in terms of gameplay pillars, want to see something other than 3rd person cinematic, 100% hoping there is a SOCOM or Killzone.

Really?
What's similar between Concrete Genie and TLOU2? Between AstroBot and Ghost of Tsushima? Between Dreams and TLOU2?
Cherry Picking 3 or 4 games that have similarities between them in a pool of 20+ and saying ALL are basically the same is pure trolling.

People say Playstation games lack variety as if MS 1st party games offer more variety, while in reality MS 1st party offers even less variety.

How does Microsoft offer less variety this makes zero sense?

That image alone shows the gameplay loop across 8 sony first party this generation, they are brilliant games but they play very similar to each other.

You keep using Concrete Genie as an example but Concrete Genie, AstroBot and Dreams are not on the same level as the games I'm talking about your Spiderman, TLOU2, Days Gone, God of War, Infamous, Horizon or Uncharted.

I'll make a decision when we have actual information. We still lack all the important details past fanboyism.

We lack:

1) Price (The most important thing)
2) Release Date
3) Maybe Should be included with #1 but Accessory and game pricing also
4) Actual Launch Titles

Hype is dumb, wait for facts

1st party is 1st party (and I generally care more for AA and below than AAA games).
So just because those games are played in 3rd person they are all the same?
Sure let's completely disregard the gameplay differences..

I can as easily generalize MS offerings...

Halo - 1st person shooter
Gears - 3rd person Halo
Sea of Thieves - Pirate Halo
Forza Motorsport - racing game
Forza Horizon - open world motorsport

So basically we have 1 game reskinned 3x and another game reskinned 2x.
Am I doing the trolling right?

So stealth makes every game the same now? When there's many more combat options LOL

The infamous "these other games that add variety don't count" and none of those 8 games play the same

I'm going to wait and see what the games are like. Nothing I've seen right now would justify a day one purchase for either system.

My next stop is PS5. Then maybe an new PC.

If Lockhart is real, then maybe Lockhart too. Depends on price. But my XBox One ist full of dust, because i don't use it, so there's a big questionmark on Lockhart. But if then not at Launch.

What's the fixation with game pass? as if that was relevant to "next gen" or anything... Sony has more PS+ subscribers than there are xbox ones out there.

Anyway, I am just annoyed with MS, so I touch nothing they do in the console market (I need a windows PC for work, and honestly it's the only viable gaming platform, especially if you use other store fronts).

BTW about gamepass: if you want cheap games just get them on the Epic Games store, you pay nothing and they are attached to your account. GamePass is pure garbage, the game selection is abysmal (around 300 now, less than half what PSNow has to offer, and they are worse as well) and the only "benefits" to it are that it's available on windows as a trojan horse for the windows app store and it's heavily discounted at the moment so some people are under the impression they are getting a "deal".

How about I"m buying 3 PS5s and I also get three different accounts to get PSNow 3 times to annoy you.
i will be buying both because im not a poor, piece of shit, man-child who argues about which console is better all day
Or you are not man enough to make decisions?

I passed on the Xbox last and this gen. Only got a ps4 3 years ago (at the end of its life cycle). Probably do the same for ps5. Games (exclusives) will be dirt cheap by then.

For me VR is the next frontier in gaming. I'm waiting 2-3 years into the next gen consoles lifespan to build a beefy PC.
VR tech will always be pushed by the PC market, while Sony brings the mainstream (software) to the masses.
By then I can have an optimal VR experience and a machine that can handle future iteration on tech and more intense software from bigger developers.

I doubt I'd buy any of them. Not interested in ps exclusives and the Xbox games I like will be able on pc.

If there will be console exclusive games I might buy an Xbox later down the generation, but as I see now neither feels appealing to me.
