It's Florida, we're actually generally more fiscal conservatives here, not really the hawk contingent.

Guns and Military are good, immigration is good, everything else we could give a flip about:P

Oh I know. I'm a Florida Native :P

It is a swing state but even still I thought the crowd would be a little more conservative...

Did Anderson Cooper just shill for another show during a debate?:lol

Eh, it's time to get rid of "Don't ask, don't tell" in the military.

....

Romney....what the hell, you look forward to a time when gays can serve openly....and you say, this isn't the time, since we're at war.....

wow. this response to homosexuals in the armed forces is completely, completely bothering me, and the fact that the crowd applauded it is very disconcerting.

edit: Romney is a fucking hilarious shill. in a time of war homosexuals should not serve openly in the military.

US vets are already treated like crap (considering the importance given to "supporting the soldiers") it's like the government is afraid of the veterans weight in politics, so they get sidelined.

Everytime Huckabee speaks he has command of what he's saying. You may not agree with it, but at least he isn't flailing like Mitt...he's done terrible tonight.

The Generals tell you the policy is good and working and we're awesome!:P

Holy shit....they actually mentioned the Log Cabin Republicans!

from my limited viewing of this debate, Huckabee is really knocking these questions out of the park.

Huckabee is getting smoother and smoother and he's won this debate tonight

Sort of interesting. From a non-American point of view I would have never believed it wouldn't be McCain/Romney/Rudy with Rudy as the elected candidate.

But I still don't believe Huckabee would be "allowed" to become president.

Huckabee is only going to go higher in the polls after this debate. If he can pick up Iowa and Keep rising in SC and Florida, he just might win it.

I'm sure it's been said before, but damn does Romney ever sound like Pat O'Brien. It's like O'Brien's soul infested a man with more hair and Mormon sensibilities.

I think this debate might be the true emergence of Huckabee for the Republican party.
i remember watching a Meet the Press interview with Huckabee last year and noting that he would make a really strong presidential candidate. his campaign has been horse shit thus far, but he's really making up for it now. CNN also seems to be giving him prime air time.

anyone think Romney is as dissembling and artificial as Kerry was in 04? why couldn't they have run at the same time?

There are certainly worse Republicans than Huckabee. I think he's at least (somewhat) honest, which is a rare trait.

Romney, on the other hand, looks like crap.

Huckabee's answer to the space question was surprising, and I agree for the most part.

Huckabee sounds like he got his answers written out in advance for all questions :lol
