Zelda 3DS: LttP, OoT, or Wind Waker style?

Dem jaggies amirite

2D would look infinitely better. Leave 3D to the consoles.

On a computer monitor. Upscaled from an N64 game. Look at various other 3DS games to see what the system could really do.

Zelda game that looked like that would be fine by me. 3DS could easily pull off something that looked like Wind Waker/Twilight Princess/Skyward Sword. And on a smaller screen so it'd look sharper.

I want another Twilight Princess Style. It catches the Zelda atmosphere the best.
I love the game but for me one of its major drawbacks is the enemy design. Some of them are quite ugly. If they improved on that I wouldn't mind revisiting the style.

If we're going old-school, this kind of old-school please. Thanks.

This would be my answer, as well. I've been wanting to play a Zelda game that looks like this ever since I popped open my copy of the LTTP Nintendo Power guide...

I want a full 3D game in the same way OOT, MM, TP, WW, and SS are 3D. However I have no preference on art style.

I'm in like Flynn regardless of art style, but since the DS days I feel the Celda style works best for 3D Zelda on handhelds.

Would also love to see a remake of Link's Awakening before they do one of Link to the Past.

I kinda want a sequel to MM explaning the Hero's Shade. However it will probably be Spirit Tracks like but without touchscreen controls, which I'm completely fine with.

Eiji Aonuma pretty much implied that the next handheld Zelda game's art style wouldn't be like Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. If he's making it an original title and not a direct sequel/prequel to those titles, then he'll most likely go with a different art style. In addition, with Wind Waker getting a remake on Wii U, that provides all the more reason to ditch the Wind Waker art style for the 3DS Zelda title in my opinion.

I say go with a brand new art style with an isometric perspective. Sadly, it will be in 3D and not 2D. On the bright side, 3DS is at least more capable of pushing polygons than DS was. Please some up with something cool, Aonuma.

My vote goes to Link to the Past. Bonus, hidden items and dungeons, different armors, fully interlocked worldmap, aww yeah. I'm all about the LTTP style. A new art style would be nice, not because the present is bad, but because a change of pace is welcome.

I would like that Nintendo could make me go wow! on the visual style and give me something that I wasn't waiting. I think something that pays hommage to a Link to the Past would be good.

Multiplayer...honestly, this is one of those games that I prefer solo and don´t want to see the single player campaign being affected by online multiplayer. If they want to implement a multiplayer campaign, do it like in Luigi Mansion 2, maybe with an online temple?

Exactly what HAVE they said about 3DS Zelda? Anything at all??????

(When asked about the existence of a Zelda for the 3DS) "We are already preparing a new game, a game in the series for the Nintendo 3DS, but don’t think that it is a direct sequel to the Zelda titles released on DS. We are talking about a new game, but it takes much of what has been done on previous consoles."
- Eiji Aonuma, Senior Producer + Director for Zelda games

(When asked if the next Zelda 3DS game will be a remake of Majora's Mask) "It’s something I’m asked about often and I assure you that it is something I’ve spoken to Miyamoto about. But recently we released The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D as a remake. We are considering the idea, but it didn’t seem right to launch a remake one after another, so the next Zelda game on 3DS will be original.”
- Eiji Aonuma, Senior Producer + Director for Zelda games

(When asked about the Zelda 3DS game possibly being a remake) "I think I'd be even more interested in creating something new maybe based on, or starting from, A Link To The Past"
- Shigeru Miyamoto, General Producer for Zelda games

I've been thinking about this recently.

I'd want a 3D title, similar to Ocarina of Time 3D. Isometric ... eh. That could be cool, Diablo/Bastion style, but I think that something in the vein of Twilight Princess would impress.

Man, I have it all envisioned. Maybe if I have the time I'll try to do a mock up. I wonder if Pablo Belmonte has an ideas.

I just hope they use a new artsyle and one that's not super realistic like OoT and twilight princess. Maybe a somewhat altered version of the Fire Emblem cutscenes. Those were gorgeous.

Yeah, they have been hinting at either a LTTP remake, or in that style for a little while now.

If you remember, he also said the next Zelda game on 3DS will be "original." So no remake just yet.

- Gameplay and Menu structured like OoT 3D (Third-Person Perspective, All menus and HUD on the bottom screen.)

Good, i think the general consensus is a another minish cap style game. That was the last handheld one that was alomst universeally loved, or atleast it seems that way to me.

Whatever the art style looks like, let's hope Tingle will be on board this time.

Edit: In relation to that, let me say Tingle RPG graphic design was amazing.

It should be made with the OoT Remake engine and keep the same graphics style, continue after Majora's Mask, combine the best elements of these two games, connect the stories of OoT & MM in the most awesome and unexpectable way and be the epic finale of the greatest game trilogy ever.

Of course it should be released after the MM remake.

And of course it's not gonna happen.

I've been playing OoT 3D tonight and a new Zelda using that same engine, system and artstyle would be freaking sweet.

I want deep black shadows. If they remade Majora's Mask with the super-bright Link model from OoT 3D, I would be very sad.

I game to post MM style. I'd appreciate a more Graphic Novel style approach to the graphics, where you have heavy shadowing on the character models. Though I honestly don't think it'll work too well on a Handheld game, so I might be more reserved for it to be for the Wii U version.

What about WW-sstyle, but with the dark shadows/high contrast of MM artwork wit' a darker MM-type story????
