Thats really nice looking, like a cleaner more detailed PoP 2008, which I could definitely get behind for a future Zelda. Its highly detailed but not so much so that it has to try and stick to reality, but can still play around and incorporate surreal and unrealistic aspects.

Kinda reminds me of the last couple Fire Emblems too.

in WW he had limited power and other than The Helmaroc King and a few moblins he didn't have many minions, and they were busy looking for the triforce. Even when he got the triforce from link and Zelda he spared their lives.

In twilight princess and LttP, Ganondorf/Ganon was trapped in the twilight realm/dark world.

This so bloody fantastic. I especially like the touch of reflecting the bosses' weaknesses and which equipment Link was using at each point in the game. That really irks me sometimes; In games where there are lots of color options/equipment changes, 99.9% of art will still depict the same main weapon and default color.

Also wow, haha, never realized how many 'giant eyeball' bosses LTTP had.

Great work, hutna! Love his expression and the textures in the coloring and lineart. I'm definitely looking forward to all the great Zelda art that's going to be coming from fans for the anniversary.

I wish Melora's History of Hyrule site were still up, most comprehensive collection of Zelda art online... that information was probably in their gallery. =|

Since this is a Zelda art thread, and it is the 25th Anniversary of the series today, I thought I might as well post this print I made for the occasion!

Not sure. I think it's from one of the instruction booklets? Either way I'd love for Zelda to go back to a style more like this. It's really nostalgic feeling.

I believe at the top are the three goddesses. At the bottom is Link's mother, but I mistaked it for TP Zelda at first.

Thanks for the info Big One! My only query is with what you've labelled as Ghoma, I would have thought would be Bellum, the final boss of Phantom Hourglass. It seems more correct considering the others in that little group are major Zelda villains.

That artwork is so goddamn amazing. I wish I had a big enough monitor to fit the whole thing as my wallpaper.

make me wish nintendo would adopt this style and make a good zelda game.

by good i mean fresh and exciting, not the recycled shit they've been dumping on us.
