I find the Pixiv art to be sometimes better than the deviantART ones, personally. But your mileage may vary, I guess.

Well personally I always find a great amount of art on Pixiv. Though sometimes it gets confusing cause a lot of people who post on Pixiv also post on deviantart for international purposes.

I think Pixiv is far more consistent when it comes to quality. Just compare the newest Zelda pieces on Pixiv with the newest Zelda pieces on deviantart, and there's a pretty major difference there. I'm not ragging on deviantart cause there is thousands of great pieces from it, but I think since deviantart attracts not only a bunch of great people but all the wrong people it kind of dwelves into shit quite a bit. Also Pixiv is a site exclusively for drawings, while deviantart has fanfiction and a bunch of photoshop shit.

The problem with Pixiv is that since it allows pretty much anything on the site in drawing form you sometimes have to wade into some pretty steep territory when it comes to porn (which I turned the censor off to get more results).

I know this all sounds biased but I collect a lot of fanart on the net, so I'm just basing this on my own experiences I guess.

This would be greatly appreciated (and not just for crediting but also helps us stalk find new artists to follow ). While it's true that non-members will only be able to get the medium view of pieces on Pixiv, at least they can still get a username and access to their gallery and bookmarks... so I've felt like the pros of crediting the artist outweigh the cons of any inconvenience to browsers.

Thanks for the source. I'll do my other posts later tonight however. Some of my posts are a mix of newer stuff and some pretty obscure stuff that I've forgotten where I got them from exactly, so it's going to be difficult finding some stuff. I'd love to know the source of that Ganon picture I posted.
